General Discussion is already set to not appear on the hot list, as a sort of "off topic" board.
The amount of posts from Memes & Games being posted and upvoted simply to gain lifetime upvotes is getting out of hand as well. I don't see the relevance of the board to the broader community, though it is nice to have for those people that want to be creative.
You're in luck; Riot has been working on adding a "subscriptions" option for the boards so that you only see the ones that you want. I was told about it a while ago so idk where they are with it, but at least they know it's something we want and are going to do it.
