Well.. I wouldn't say its exactly old for forums.. but its not that new for forums.. I mean, I like the new Preview thing below, which makes a lot of things noticeable, but I don't necessarily like the new lay out in terms of the "POST" And "Discuss" section.. I mean, if anything, I'd LOVE it to feel a lot more like the Enjin Forums than the Reddit forums... but atleast here I can do this.. ..... item 3184

Was clearly referencing the start of WoW, as stated in my title. And these types of free forums were all the rage for guild/clan websites back then. Can't tell if you just missed that, or full on retarded.

Point is WoW came out in November 2004. Reddit came out the following summer in June 2005. Around 6 months.

So I'm wondering.....if these guild forums, pretty muchin your word like the "new" LoL forums in your opinion, came out BEFORE Reddit....where DID the Reddit founder get the idea?

Reddit was invented 10 years ago? It's surprising that it was, more surprising if "these types of forums" predate Reddit itself. Was it so original an idea? Maybe not.

EDIT: just a note here- didnt play WoW myself until Cata's release, so I cant say anything about "back then" or the format guilds were using first hand.
