Confusing Mod Feedback Message

Today, I got the following message:

Greetings Hyrum Graff,

We have removed your content due to a violation of the following board rule: Adhere to Board Guidelines

This content was posted in the wrong board. We'd like to encourage you to repost this in the "Help & Support" boards. Also, please take some time to review the Guidelines for each board before posting. These can be found in each board on the bottom left-hand side of your screen.

Don't worry; you're not in trouble! This is just a heads up, and a reminder to become more familiar with the Guidelines for each board so you can ensure your content is appropriate. If we don't keep things organized, the boards will become less useful and a lot more cluttered.

Unfortunately, the message didn't contain any mention of what content was moderated. I'm a very active poster, so I've got a lot of content and can't figure out for the life of me what post of mine was deleted.

This post serves two purposes:

I'd love for a rioter to drop by and let me know what content of mine was moderated. I try to be pretty conscientious about posting on the correct board, so I'm rather confused about what I misposted.
I'd like to suggest that you at least include the title of the post in your moderator message, to avoid confusion.

I'd love to help, but i have no idea what your original thread was about. Were you asking for help on a lol problem? and posted in the ahri the sexy fox forum? if so that is why it was deleted.

OP edited his original post, before that it just said he was confused as to why his thread got deleted.

NP, currently there is no way to tell if someone edited a post or not in these new boards; so yeah they need to fix that.

What ArmaMalum said is correct - I post very frequently, and, since the mod message didn't tell me which of my posts was deleted, I don't know which one it was.

It might help if you didn't post so much :P. I honestly have no idea, sorry :(, it's strange they don't mention it specifically in the message.

I wonder if it was a reply to someone else's thread that got deleted? That would be much harder to find, though. I'm going to try to get in touch with a RIoter and see if they can find out what content of mine was moderated -- because I tend to think that, compared to your average poster, I'm a little more conscientious about what I'm posting where, so I'm confused about what content of mine got moderated.

Yea, they just say it was content, not a thread or a comment (picture, etc) that was removed, so I have no idea. I guess since you're not in trouble, not to worry about it, they said it was a simple error. Would have been better if they just moved it to the appropriate board, but who knows. I'm sure Riot knows who you are and that you're good about posting, I think it's just one of those one-in-a-million errors.

Their policy currently is to delete content rather than move it. There are several threads on the topic hanging around where someone (pendragon I believe) has talked about their philosophy.

Yes. That list is here. That was the first place I looked, but all of the posts listed there, still exist (unless they deleted something more than a week old).

I thought that maybe it also deleted the link from that page, and was trying (and failing) to remember if there was anything else that I posted recently, that might belong in Help & Support.

Lol what if they did delete a thread more than a week old. Cause it was just something that never got to the top of the pile. That would humors. I guess support ticket is all you can do.

Riot should be at least putting a title of the thread in their msgs.

The other reason that I made this post was to provide this bit of feedback. Which, looking back on my OP, isn't very clear - going to edit that in now.

You know, that's really weird, because I've posted a couple of times and none of them have showed up in my profile as of yet. Is there some sort of weird delay that I'm not aware of or is it a genuine bug I should be concerned about?

Hey Hyrum,

Sorry for the delay in this reply, and for the confusing experience that you had. If you didn't see the Change Log for this week, then check it out. Specifically, the part about Moderation quoted below.

Moderation is an on-going effort, and we’ll continue to make small improvements. For this first week, we’ve added the ability for a player whose discussion has been deleted to still see that post. This way, if your post is appropriate but in the wrong place, you can copy and paste or otherwise save the work you put into the post and find the right spot for it.

We made it so that the author of a deleted discussion can still view their post.

Discussions that have been deleted are still viewable by original author

Something we didn't include in this change log is that within each Moderator Notification, we will be including a link to the discussion or comment that was removed. This should remove the confusion that you experienced.

Awesome! Any chance you could check what content of mine was removed in this particular case? I'm still really confused O.O

If it's a pain for you, it's no big deal; since I haven't figured out what content of mine was moderated, it can't have been that important ;)

I'd need a lot more information, and some time from one of the developers who is crunching on bugs. :/
