Upvote/Downvote Counter

It has taken me a long time to even feel comfortable with the upvote/downvote feature on the boards because at one point I felt like it was a very common for the average thread to be in the negatives. I'm not really sure what, but it does seem as if there have been improvements to this.

However, I have noticed times where my thread has been upvoted, and then downvoted, or downvoted, and then upvoted, ... and ultimately, the overall number stays the same.

For example,

If I have received 5 upvotes and 5 downvotes, my overall score would be 1. With the current system it would look like I have had no votes at all.

So, what I think would be useful would be a vote counter.

If this were changed to somehow show that my overall total was 1 after 10 votes it would at least show that the votes I have received are evenly divided.

Honestly, I don't know, or really care how it would look. It may be something that only the poster can see, but I do think it would be better if the community could see as well.

The count is in the code openly. If you use the Forum Enhancer Kit (FEK) you can actually see exactly what you're wanting. Currently there is little to no boards development because everyone is on the client update, but this is certainly a possible standard feature in the future.

You can see how many downvotes and upvotes you have, but it is pretty hard. Some time ago I discovered it. Right-click on upvote number near comment and nick, click "Inspect element" and above "class="total-votes" and class="riot-voting authenticated" you should have data-apollo-up-votes="(number)" and data-apollo-down-votes="(number)" and you can see how many downvotes and upvotes you have. PS. 5 downvotes and 5 upvotes = 0 bcs 5-5=0
