It's really unclear to me that this was even an option until just recently. I think if you made it a more visible option to people, or let them keep it on by default, it'd help a lot of the people that like how the old forum's format looks because it looks just like it.
It'd be nice if when we clicked "jump to parent" it didn't throw us back into clustered view
I'm hoping this sort of personalized setting option is one of the features that they include in the next iteration of the CB when they realize it (soon right?). As it stands the Show Flat version is already lacking as a feature now, so ideally they'll make that a viable viewing method on here, include the same number of features they give with the nested, and make it a savable option.
I'm holding a more generalised "flat" discussion of my own on a different thread where I've posted as many issues as I've ran into and I agree with you. This would be nice(r)
