What does it take to get banned for griefing/trolling/int feeding?

I quit over a year ago due to Riot's inability to deal with toxic players. Almost every game either has a troll on your team or on the enemy team. I started playing 2-3 weeks ago and the situation is exactly the same as a year ago. You can troll, grief and intentionally feed the entire game, as long as you don't say any forbidden words that gets you flagged you will get away with it. Last game I played with a Tristana adc. After 5 minutes he already decided the game was lost because 2 players had died so he decided to grief the rest of the game. He went top to troll, then jungle, refused to farm the rest of the game, bought support item and didn't do anything useful but moving etc so the system wouldn't flag him. I called him out a couple of times due to sheer frustration and all he said was :"Nothing will happen, I won't get banned because I am still playing". This guy is literally playing the system to not get banned. Its pathetic.

After the match I looked up his history. Out of 20 games he did the same thing in 9. So in 45% of his games this guy is trolling the hell out of his teammates ruining countless of games. I am sure he got reported at least 100x by now, so what does it take to get your account looked into or get flagged by the system and actually get banned for trolling, inting and griefing?

I am at the verge of uninstalling again because it seems Riot hasn't made any progress at all in dealing with toxic players who play around the ban system.

What it takes is to actually do one of those things. It's also not going to be a perfect system for detection because if it started punishing people for false positives, we'd constantly see the opposite kind of thread here on the board instead of this one.

The other side of this is that most of the time, what people call griefing / trolling / intentionally feeding IS NOT ANY OF THOSE THINGS.

  • Player made a bad decision 1, 2, 3, 4 times and died? Not intentional feeding.
  • Player didn't build what someone on their team told them to build? Not griefing.
  • Support player roamed top to assist the team and the ADC got pissed? Not trolling.
  • Someone didn't listen to what someone else told them to do? Not trolling.

I could keep writing that list for an hour but you get the point.

You are all so gullible. I very much know the difference between bad plays or decisions and straight up trolling. Tristana who walks around for 25+ minutes between fountain and tower or walking around the jungle, standing still around tower or teammates when the enemy is sieging or occasionally walking up in teamfights to die on purpose etc. The guy literally didn't farm the entire game because he got tilted and decided that we should all lose the game. He gets 9 reports and next game he plays he refuses to buy items and his team has to surrender at 20m. I watched it back. Now he is in another game. He is literally destroying game after game and not getting banned. Keep telling yourself that Riot is doing a good job. I hope you get this guy in your team to see what your opinion is then. Honestly are you all Riot ghost accounts or something?
