Dynamic Q produces less toxicity in general, but more for the Solo Q player

I wanted to bring this to attention, just took me a while.

In the round table discussion a Rioter mentioned how toxicity was lowered because of Dynamic Q.

I argue that while yes when a team of 4 is together they will not be toxic to eachother.

Who suffers though?

Once again, the Solo Q player. He is subject to all of the rage (x4) that is in a normal game of League.

Why does Riot continue to blatantly put in illogical excuses to justify a system that royally fucks Solo Q players in every which way

Yet another post where I need to point out that I am a solo Q player who doesn't encounter this kind of toxicity. In my experience, the people who see toxicity in all their games are usually the ones causing it.

Not all premades will gang up on the soloer.

Not all gang up toxicity consist of premades. Its just people think they are premade.

Have yet to encounter one of these doom-premades myself.

I went, what, 0/8/0 Teemo for a while and the 4 man had the good grace not to push me over it.

mhm, I probably will get down voted as well, but... why is the guy/post get down voted ?

I have seen 2 premade parties arguing with each other, oh the drama... (the match is already long lost, guess the drama is still a 10/10)

but ya, sometimes when it is premade with 3 or 4 friends and it started to flame the solo que, dang boi, the toxicity can probably bring another great extinction.

ps. especially with "club", now it is so easy to tell who is premade with whom. (since summer is here I can guarantee you that there are going to be more group bullying in game and this type of thread topic floating on forum.)

pps. once you reached over plat, you will ran into less of those problem. there was a video from a pretty lcs team member mention why duo/premade is bad at high rank.

They are basically saying that instead of addressing toxicity issues they are going to remove the ability to play solo queue games since random people are more openly hostile towards each other over friends.

It's a total cop out.

That random odd guy not in the quad suffers, any small mistake you do, you will be insta flamed.

I don't think toxicity is the argument you should be using to oppose dynamic queue. There are better options. Why not focus on how dynamic queue detracts from the gameplay experience of solos by reducing their impact on game flow, or how it can be used to manipulate queue times and champ select, reducing the availability of the most highly sought after spots to solo players, or how it reduces consistency of the mmr measurement used for matchmaking, leading to lower quality matches.

To me, random premade toxicity towards their solo fills doesn't even register on the list of problems.

Scarra or Gbay ( i can't remember which one ) pointed out something. Dynamic queue does produce less toxicity in general. Premades have an obvious impact on that but it's a minute impact and mainly for those premades. Toxicity is mainly lower because of the new champion select even for solo players. Before we had to fight for our role and it ussually caused toxicity from the get go. At the roundtable riot tried to present it as DQ being the sole cause and they got called out. If they can't fix DQ ( it's 50-50 right now ), SQ with the new champion select is a reasonable next step. I'm not gonna say i'm not biased, cause i'll take SQ over DQ any day, but i'm not gonna make a fit if DQ stays here permanently ( after the no SQ reveal it can still come back if DQ can't be balanced properly ). Just hope the toxicity goes even lower and we finally go past all the drama.
