Is calling someone "bad" considered toxic?

TBH if you are bad at the game you deserve to be called bad, as long as the person is not using offensive language like ****.

And why would you in the first place? You can give them advice without telling them they're bad. Telling someone they're bad is more likely to just raise their ire and make them not want to listen/get better.

These spoiled Preschool (Preschool on a mental level) brats are so arrogant, so full of themselves, apparently They think they are SO perfect that someone telling them anything other than how "perfect" they are, completely shatters thier world-view and sends them into a nuclear tantrum and they report you for "harrassment" when all you did was Politely give a suggestion on how they can improve thier game.

I call the league community preschoolers, and will continue to do so untill they prove to me otherwise. Because they DESERVE IT. Thier actions and the fact they can have a complete meltdown at the drop of a hat puts them at the same level of a toddler who has a complete shitfit in the aisles of a supermarket because mommy wouldnt buy them the chocolate bar they wanted.

So No, You cant say ANYTHING to these kids unless its glowing praise, regardless of how nice you try and be about it.

Agreed 100%. If that shithead is bad, flame as much as he feeds, don't even be afraid. He fucking deserves it. Why be polite to those kids who wouldn't listen and appreciate your manner? U think u can give them advice? nah, they will just yell back and be an idiot. I respect good players and when i see noobs, i flame them until they stfu.

Why be polite to them? Becouse that way they might improve and start working with the team...Although the amounts of stress i got from trieng to be polite to people who flame and abuse me while feeding made me quit pvp...So i guess you are right.

Not talking about the players who want to improve, talking about the spoiled brats who think they know -everything- so no one should ever be able to give them advice. Why? because they are perfect, they know everything. they know how to play the game better than Ruin-it (Rito). So it doesnt matter How nice yo are right from the start, You could be the most polite and courteious right off the bat and these toddlers will flip out and completely lose thier minds Why? Because you challenged thier worldview that they are perfect, that they know everything, and they cant handle it.

No I am saying these "Toddlers" dont care how Nice you try and word it. "Hey there, I see you are having a problem. I have found it helps if you try this (offer -polite- advice) because (give -polite- reasoning)" and these kids will respond with "OMG U FKING SUK! STFU AND DONT TELL ME HOW TO PLAY NOOB. FK U, REPORTED!" /all "Hey, Report My TEAM TELLING ME HOW TO PLAY, TOXIC AF"

Again, You offer polite, general advice. And these kids take that advice, inject it with nitroglycerin and throw it back in your face with a match.

Why? because they think they are perfect, they think they never do anything wrong, and Offering any sort of advice suggests otherwise, which conflicts with thier worldview that they know everything. So naturally they have a meltdown. If I am doing bad, I am always open to listening to advice, as long as its polite. I may take it, I may not, But I am not going to throw a fit and call a teammate who is ONLY TRYING TO HELP, Toxic.

Calling someone bad is indeed toxic behavior. It serves no constructive purpose whatsoever. It doesn't help them identify the mistakes they're making. It doesn't make them a better player.

And if you think about it. If the system matched you with them, that's because their rating is about the same as yours.

if your mmr is low enough. you could be losing more games because people are astonomically bad as opposed to your own skill.

Rito considers it to be toxic and bannable. even more than feeding, afking, or general #ineptitude. So you might as well go fully monty on them and tell them to get testicular cancer to go with their gay AIDS. But if you wanna ruin someone's game with impunity, just play like shit and feed and throw matches or just ragequit/afk. The penalty will be less or none at all.

Playing poorly isn't, and has never been, a bannable offense unless you're doing it on purpose to troll your team. If someone is having a bad game, on a new champion, in a new role, or just generally isn't as good as the people around them, that's never grounds for a ban.

And its a huge problem. Calling an 0/10 player "bad" should never, in any circumstance whatsoever, be more reportable or bannable than the fact that the player is 0/10.

What do you gain by calling someone "bad" (although few players actually stop there, let's go into a hypothetical world where that's all that was said)? There are any number of reasons why someone could be 0/10 (such as playing a proper support, for example), and not all of them are because of banworthy events (which would be trolling/intentionally feeding), but what do you gain by badmouthing someone you don't even know?

It not so much about gaining anything, you don't gain anything from whatever you say, good or bad. Now maybe its different for you, but if I have a player going 0-10 on my team, its a very frustrating experience. That player is wasting at least 30 minutes of my time, in addition to costing me LP that I had to earn. If despite that, the worst thing I do is call him "bad", why do you think that should be bannable?

Yes and no. There's no harm in telling a teammate their weakness and offering them a method of improvement, but just upfront insulting them is wrong. Even if all you say is"You are bad" its doing harm and causing your teammate to tilt which WILL cost YOU the game.

If you have nothing positive or constructive to say, just don't say it.

They win games as consistently as you do; that's why the system matched you together. This means that they objectively are just as good/bad as you are, and you have no right to call them whatever.

Calling someone bad is toxic, even if they are bad. The best thing you can do is offer some constructive criticism and hope they listen.
