Why is it that when you try and post about the reason people are toxic you get hella downvoted?

Its like people on the boards, dont want to see the reason of why people are "toxic" they just want them muted or banned.

Every time you have a logical discussion about the roots of toxic behavior, and harassment (which would be trolls,afks, feeder etc) you get downvoted to hell and they use some of the following excuses "two wrongs dont make a right" "nobody deserves to be treated like shit" "nobody can control you except you" "riot cant detect trolling, but they can see if youre being an ass so they punish you"

Is there ever going to be a post where we can actually discuss what causes people to be "toxic" instead of just saying "hurr if you got restricted or banned, you shouldnt have been a dick to them idc what they did"

We know what causes Toxic people, the point is what exactly does shit talking to them going to accomplish? It does nothing to solve the problem so why even do it? Plus you are basically making the matter worse by harassing them (whether you believe they deserve it or not is irrelevant) which in turns makes your other teammates have to deal with another person ruining their game.

I'm sorry your post has gotten downvoted quite a bit -- I agree that people here simply downvote things without giving them much thought.

You say the roots of toxic behavior and harassment are "trolls, afks, feeders, etc." However, people who react that negatively, enough to get reported and picked up by the feedback system, are toxic. It's fine to say "hey this sucks, let's try to make it work :/" or if you're in a normal, playing more lax rather than giving it your all, as you would in a ranked. You don't have to make the "best" of a bad situation, just don't make it worse with negativity and toxicity.

Any criticism of Riots punishment system or definition/cause of "toxicity" is looked down upon here. There are alot of regular posters here who will fanatically defend Riots system and views.

People who are toxic blame it on trolls, people who troll blame it on people who were toxic. The vicious cycle has to be broken somewhere.
