Just need some clarification: There is no penalty for trolling in champion select right?

As far I know unless you dodge or just try to play it out, you're completely at that person's mercy ?

I mean I suppose you could take a screenshot if they are threatening to troll, dodge and submit a ticket to Riot. Otherwise you would need to play the game to report them.

welcome to riot censorship lol and people wonder why others flame. all it takes is to have that behavior in 8 o so back to back promotion series and ya your kinda getting a guy that's been pushed to far.

Does not help as Riot supprot does not do anything to it as they do not tell if someone get punished for it or not. I have tracked with op.gg several people I reported liek that and no bans.

Riot only punish people who are not having several accounts I think. They do not touch hacked accounts. They do not touch real griefers, but someone using colorful language is punished fast.

First punishment is not a ban. There's a tiered system for punishing. It starts with chat restrictions.

And that is not what Riot has told us they do to intentional feeders, and really really serious offenses. Wishing somebody to kill themselves, or giving out fantasies of forced sexual intercourse with other players or their female relatives, or threatening to kill family of other players should result permaban immediately. Riot has told us they take those offenses seriously while in practice they do not. They do all they can to ignore such behavior.

Riot have told us they have all logs, but when I reported lag scripting on support, they accused me giving them forged logs, and refused all my aid to investigate really serious issue that Riot did not have game logs of games I have played. I volunteered to give Riot all of my logs for all seasons I have played in order honestly help to investigate the issue, as I had suspected hackers had learn way of crashing RIot side logging server. I had suspected this due amount of really hostile players and intentional feeders and elo boosters, who had no fear of Riot doing anything to them. They even boasted with amount of hacked clients they had. There was also usually very convenient crashes of client at end of game so I was not able to file reports on those players. I am myself computer scientist as my education, thus I do understand difficulty of investigating such issue, and thus I honestly knew they should get my logs so they would know extend of the issue, and might able to figure out the root. Support did reject that option instantly, which gave me impression of total incompetence ignoring such very very important issue, or command from higher ups to hush it down.

Riot has told us human employees does handling of reports, and punishment is not automated process without human involvement, but last year we have had Riot employees on forum divulging that is not the case. If something is 100% unpunishable, and Riot still punish it if it is reported, the system is totally automatic. And Riot employees refuse to do any real investigation. They ask chat logs, but chat logs does not contain talk of other players or game events.

If you do report them after the game, make sure to add a note saying something along the lines of "check the champ select chat". They might overlook that otherwise.

Riot doesnt do jack shit against trollers, the system is so stupid that it only bans people with 0-18 or flamers and doesnt do anything about trollers with average or bad scores like 5-12, 4-7, 0-4 etc.

A troller is somebody that is actively trying to lose the game. The problem is once you get out of bronze/silver, you can troll very easily without being caught. I can bait my team into losing fights, farm jungle when team is trying to do an objective or other things with will make me lose. This is why no system or person can ward against trollers unless they are trolling in a dumb may.

Everyone is being reported for all kinds of things all the time. In every ELO. I bet everyone has hundreds of reports on him. And who is supposed to go through millions of replays?

Yes but problem with Tribunal was that it was too slow. If you have millions of cases on Tribunal it would take age to process them all.

It cant do anything because right now the only thing its programmed to do is check the chat logs for any "Key" word or check the match history for feeding.

It needs a new system but rito doesnt care because they are lazy and wanted to do just 5 minutes of coding.

That has no effect as "Riot cannot give any details of results of investigation due privacy issues", which gives every single support reporting people direct message "RIot is not taking this seriously, and quite likely are doing nothing to it".

Riot uses "privacy policy" to protect rules breakers in every single occasion they use it. And that is total opposite of taking something seriously.

NO, there is not, as Riot does not give us chance to report for champion selection, and champion selection logs are not used for artificial stupidity system automatic punishment. Only way you could get punished for it, is when Riot does investigate it.

It is not possible to "troll champ select" considering off meta picks are permissible. It is possible to have negative communication (I.e. Threatening to troll), but unless it is egregious it probably won't be punished just like one "I'm going to troll" in game won't be punished.

It is impossible to punish behavior which has yet to occur. Neither you nor Riot has a crystal ball.

Off meta picks are tolerable, I definitely wouldn't report you for that. It's when we get our roles in normal drafts or in ranked, some guy locks in the role he didn't get any way or willfully disrupts our team composition by going to another lane or not being in his lane.

Players do not lock in a role. They lock in a champion, and then choose runes, masteries, and summoner spells.

Further, they do not "[go] to another lane or not [be] in his lane" until the game starts, and there's no crystal ball to predict that until the game actually starts and they actually do it.

This post was just to clarify because some guy in one my games who was trolling made it clear there wasn't an option for reporting champ select trolling. I was looking at the report options and there wasn't a clear cut option there either.

I have done that dozens of times, and every single player I have reported with that have had no punishment worse than chat restriction due it. Temporary bans I would be able to track from op.gg sites or match history.

The sad and honest fact is Riot Games LLC are lying to us all the time when it comes to handling rules breakers.

if a player doesnt talk in chat and bans your champion how can you prove that they've done it maliciously and not because they weren't paying attention? besides that if they get a chat restriction it might have made them regret their behavior and change for the better. If they do get a chat restriction then wouldn't that prevent them from even asking for cooperation in the champ select lobby in the first place? think about it.

the reality is that banning your allies champion is protected by the TOS and old summoner code. that's why people arent punished for just simply banning their allies pick. you can however be punished for just being a jerk in chat.

especially with the new 10 ban system you're allowed technically to ban whoever you want.

threatening to troll, being abusive verbally, or just being disruptive in general to the experience of the community will get them chat restricted because they havent even shown if they're going to troll or intentionally feed.
