I just encountered a Platinum support main refusing to buy Sightstone + taking CS from the ADC

Looking at their match history, this player is consistently behaving like this, and it's pretty clear that they're trolling because it's the end of the season. My guess is that they realized they couldn't reach Diamond, so it's now fucking around in all of it's games.

They aren't intentionally feeding, but their behavior is intentionally making it extremely hard for their team mates to win. This really is not okay.

Can something please be changed to hold players to some standard in ranked games? Playing support and not building a Sightstone or buying any wards is understandable if they don't know better, and is even probably okay in normals, but this player clearly knows better.

I see people saying he isn't breaking any rules.

What happened to refusing to communicate with team?

If someone says, hey I'm the adc, please stop taking my farm and he ignores them.

I don't know about these rules, but if you're purposely ruining the game for others. That seems like he's breaking some rules.

the meta isnt a written down rule. sure if he takes the farm and doesnt feel like getting some extra vision, thats bad for the entire team. but no rulebreak

ITT: Bronze players think they know what acceptable behavior at Platinum and Diamond is.

You will not find a single player at this level who thinks it's okay to not build Sightstone as a support, period.

well. technically there is no written rule that the support cant cs or has to ask for permission.

submit a support ticket, Riot will look into it and if they think punishment is warranted then they will issue one. If they don't though then they won't.

Simple solution. Of course, they cannot tell you what they decide because that would violate that player's privacy. But there is nothing wrong with bringing their attention to something that you feel is harmful to the game.

There are no rules of what a support has to buy or do as long as they are trying to win. Last season I played Blitz support before he got nerfed to Plat with 60% winrate and mostly never bought sightstone, roamed and did whatever I felt I needed to do to win the game.

Playing a CSing support without sightstone is not a punishable offense.

It's just off-meta strategy.
