How does a persons account get hacked?

Only thing I can think of is giving the wrong person your username/password such as a unworthy friend (although you should never give your password and info to anyone ever).

Trying to download IP/RP generators, download mods of any type like skins, download hacks, and such.

And by accident, downloading a keylogger through skype or something.

I seen two threads now with accounts getting hacked, what other ways would their be to be at risk?

if you don't have a proper antivirus it's not hard to fuck up. i consider myself pretty good at Computer but i've accidentally downloaded trojans and keyloggers before. antivirus caught it thank god.

What you've mentioned, plus one more big one:

Password Duplication

You go to some other site or game, create an account with the same user name and password as you have for League. That site/game didn't secure their passwords correctly and gets their database hacked (or was shady to begin with). The hackers now have your username and password for League.

Most of the time when people claim their accounts have been hacked it's a lie. They have actually giving someone else access to the account and then it has other actions taken against it and they just think they can get it back by calling it "hacks"

When people say "hacked" in nearly every context and situation it really means poor password/login security. I've seen so many people on FB, Twitter, and the like "omg I got hacked", when really they just left themselves logged in on some device where another person was like "oh hey still logged into Facebook, time to make some good posts and see what websites this fool uses the login with FB option on!"

Youd also be surprised at how many people either use their username as their password, or set their password as "Password", "Password123", etc.

Im sure there are brute forcing programs out there that will let the user check all kinds of passwords until they "crack" one.. its a common practice for Minecraft accounts..

i always suggest facerolling the keyboard and that be your password. write it down irl with no context.
