I remember you guys saying it was the first thing off your list after the New Champ Select. Any word from Riot about potential updates?

It fucking better. Their shitty system just got my account banned. I had two trolls in two games and said a few swear words at them and another one I was dicking around in a game and their shitty ass system got my account banned because I said some swear words.

FrankerX9 votes

tribunal would have banned you aswell. majority of community agrees on "no matter what someone else did/said, it doesnt allow you to break the rules and get away with it"

when tribunal was still up, i always ignored the chat of the team and only focused on the chat of the guy infront of the tribunal.

fhdkljaspoutirw4 votes

That is dumb, and wrong, context is a thing you know that right? You have to find out context. It isn't fair to just punish someone off of what they say, a basic human right, is the right to self defense. I am not just gonna take it up the ass from some troll.

FrankerX5 votes

this is how tribunal always worked and i was active on it since season 2. "self defense" if you need to defend yourself against random ppl on the internet which say random stuff you have way bigger problems. mute, report, move on. flame back and get reported = you're fucked.

if i kill your family that doesnt allow you to kill my family and get away with it. this is not kindergarten there is no "this guy started" he flamed, you flamed, you both broke the rules rip.

i had a 98% correct banrate on tribunal in over 8000 cases i think i know what im talking about :D

fhdkljaspoutirw2 votes

Too bad you don't know what you are talking about, maybe on a bitch made game like this. If someone is trolling me I should be allowed to release my frustration on that stupid ass kid. I shouldn't be banned for it. If they are gonna fuck over a game for me. I should have the right to yell at them.

FrankerX5 votes

k lol nothing more to say. you will be permabanned before the tribunal comes back on. enjoy it man. and what i say now is no joke i mean it: you should get help with your anger issues. thats not healthy.

fhdkljaspoutirw2 votes

It is healthy. I don't need help. What needs help is Riots system, Riots rules and the bitch ass people in this community. People need to grow the fuck up, and learn to tolerate some shit. You can't cry and bitch your way out of everything.

FrankerX4 votes

so when 99% agree to something they are wrong, but you are right? lol. also you can "cry and bitch" your way out of everything. if you attack me in a restaurant i call the security to throw you out and ban you. if you are lucky i dont call the cops on you lol.

fhdkljaspoutirw2 votes

But if I am attacking the person who started to attack me, it's called self defense, but here I can't defend myself against Trolls. It would be like someone trying to rob me, I fend the guy off and then I get arrested.

FrankerX3 votes

if both start to fight, both get kicked out its that simple. not sure why you dont get that lol. and if someone trys to rob you and you stab him or something he can still sue you man. do you even understand what you're talking about?

fhdkljaspoutirw1 votes

Did I say stab? Did I say both starting to fight? DEFENSE DUMBASS. If someone punches me, I have the right to push them off of me and/or hit them back if they start to come back and hit me again. If someone robs me I have the right to knock them the fuck out. If someone trolls me, I have the right to fucking yell at them.

FrankerX3 votes

calling me dumbass is also defense? lol. and nope you dont have a right to hit back or knock someone out no matter what.

fhdkljaspoutirw1 votes

Yes you do. So you just let the guy beat you up and rob you? Yes, I am gonna call you a dumbass cause you are being a stubborn idiot.

FrankerX2 votes

like i said. 99% say yes you as the 1% say no. and you think you are right.

fhdkljaspoutirw1 votes

That's as bad as Riot's stats of .006% of people get perma banned. I know I am right. It's more like 45% Yes 55% percent no, but the no stay quite. I am not stay quite.

Holoin2 votes

Its ok. You can shout all you want. You will get permanently banned. Do not try to test them. Riot are not mercyfull, if you continue to make new accoints, theycould end up banning your ip addres. You wont be able to play lol ever again.

That moment you have to fight back for fear of your life I think is when it's acceptable. If someone came at me with a knife and the choices were die like a dog or possibly survive as a murderer, I'd take survival. That being said, pummeling someone's face into the concrete when they've already stopped trying to kill me would be wrong I think. There are circumstances that you'll never fully comprehend until you're on the receiving end of a threat like that. It's cool to say that it's never okay to fight back, and I would love it if that were a solution to every problem, but absolute answers don't exist. Unless it's in the Summoner's Code. Thhhheennn you're screwed. :P

Savage Devi4 votes

It's only self defense if you're under immediate threat. But that's not the case with flaming, so it's retaliation.

Comparing flamers to robbers is what we call "false equivalence". It fails as an argument. Flamers aren't robbers, they're people who barge into a restaurant and just flip a table, but don't harm anybody. When the table-flipper poses no threat to you, you've got no right to break his nose. Just wait for him to be escorted out of the building.

fhdkljaspoutirw1 votes

I didn't say flamers. I mute flamers, I said Trolls. If someone is trolling in the game, that is immediate threat and I gonna fucking flame the shit out of them because I have that right. I don't care about your shitty Opinion frankly. I know I am right.

SmokedAlmonds3 votes

Flaming trolls is definitely not a right. It is just a thing you want to do.

fhdkljaspoutirw1 votes

It's a right. If they are gonna be douche bags they lose their rights to not be flamed.

SmokedAlmonds3 votes

Playing this game in and of itself is a privilege. You have no rights in this game. You have the privilege to do what Riot says you can do. That does not include flaming trolls.

Really though, this has nothing to do with their "right" not to be flamed. Flaming them is useless. It is what they want. It is giving them a treat for trolling. If someone's goal is to upset you then you cannot accomplish anything by letting them know they succeed. If you hate trolls then you should mute them, play the game out as best you can, and give a detailed report at the end. Flaming them is just feeding them. And dragging everyone else down in the process. They already have to deal with the same troll you are, now they are just stuck dealing with you too.

You agreed to the terms when you signed up and reagree to them regularlly with patches. If you didn't agree you should not be playing this game.

Savage Devi3 votes

Nope, you're not. Having your game ruined isn't a threat. Same as when you get your table flipped, you have your dinner ruined but you are still safe from actual harm.

False equivalence. You are arguing with a clear logical fallacy, and thus are not right.

fhdkljaspoutirw1 votes

So if I am being trolled in a ranked game I am not at a threat of losing LP. I am right, if I am being trolled, I deserve to be able to flame the troller, other wise it is just going to build up and build up and when a mistake by a legit ally happens I am gonna blow up on him. To loop this back around to the start, that is why context needs to happen, if someone is flaming a troll it needs to be ignored, because it is deserved.

Savage Devi3 votes

LP isn't comparable to your personal safety, so the comparison between trolls and robbers still fails hardcore.

The game is the table which gets flipped, and the LP is the dinner you had on the table which is now on the floor. No robbers involved. You still have no right to break anybody's nose.

Your justifications for flaming don't hold up.

fhdkljaspoutirw1 votes

Fine, scrap that whole comparison, you right, they are the same, but that doesn't change the fact if someone is trolling me I have the right to flame them, they deserve it. If someone intentionally feeds my lane, I should have the right to call them a shitty tool bag, because guess what, they are a shitty tool bag.

SmokedAlmonds2 votes

If you hate trolls so much then you should stop feeding them. If people would stop giving them what they want a significant portion of them would get bored and move on. On top of that everyone else in those games would be better off as well for not having to deal with you too.

Calling someone a shitty tool bag does not make them less of a shitty tool bag. You aren't accomplishing anything, you are just venting your frustration at everyone's expense.

Savage Devi2 votes

No. If a chat message causes nothing but negativity, there's no reason to allow it, even if you feel it's "justified", which it still isn't. You don't fight fire with fire, that's a pretty basic rule of thumb around... well, anywhere really. Nobody deserves to be flamed, same as the table-flippers still have the right to keep their bones intact.

If you need to vent, vent. Scream into a pillow, break a keyboard for all I care. Just realize that the rules don't allow exceptions.

Holoin2 votes

A threat is when your life is being endangered by some one. Losing Lp is not a threat. Kid, listen, stop playing games, you need to get out and learn more about the world.

Funny because you seem like you're the one who needs to get out into the world. In America, everyone actually does have the right to offend people. You can be offended by anything and our constitution protects us from punishment for offending someone. Here in riot world, you don't have those freedoms. So stop insulting people with your "real world" pompous talk. This game goes by the summoners code, use that to teach people. Because the real world and this riot world are two very different things, where the real world actually does allow verbal insults.

You do know trolls feed on your flaming and it only get's worse. Mute and report is how you deal with it. If someone on my team is trolling and this other guy keeps flaming at the troll all game...guess what...both are getting reported. Read the rules kiddo. I don't care how angry you are at the troll cause guess what....everyone hates trolls...I don't have to listen to people moan about it the whole game and ruin it. So yeah... Don't fight the system, learn to use it.

Holoin2 votes

Self defense is only when you are in danger or being physically hurt. When some one makes a mistake in the game you are not either in danger or being hurt physically. You say people need to grow and learn to take some shit, well, you need to grow and learn how to take shit too. You cant take shit if you get angry and start shouting to others. Fron what I am reading from other comments, it seems that you are just a kid. You dont even know the difference between retaliation and self defense. You need to learn a bit about morals and human behavior.

Krigjer1 votes

Here you're using the wrong word.

You shouldn't be attacking anyone, even if they attacked you first. I'll agree with you, it's human nature to argue and defend yourself, but you've gotta figure out a way to do that in a nice way.

Just yesterday I got flamed because I missed my skillshot ult. 'lol ur such a noob, what an awful player'.

I simply stated that it looked like it would reach (and I barely missed by an inch) and muted him when he continued to berate me. When it's hard to mute because you have this need to defend yourself (trust me, I know) it helps to get the last word in and then mute them, so you never see them respond.

Holoin2 votes

You are not acting like a civilized person. You are either an ignorant kid, or you are mentaly ill. Its rare to find trolls in the game. Most people just had a bad game. You are not perfect, you too make mistakes. Dont shout stuff to others because you too will make mistakes.

A little late to this party. But let me explain why you cannot nor shall not do this. 1: read the summoners code, it is as clear as crystal on what you cannot do in league. 2: It does not matter what the circumstances are. You got reported for having a foul mouth. 3: It is you who was being judged, not the person that "trolled" you. 4: If said person really caused you grief. There is an unsportsmanlike conduct report category, use it

Whenever my friends get mad in game. I immediately tell them to not retaliate in /all chat while we're in skype. Have one person who is quite the literal hot head (explains why he plays gnar). When you rage at someone in chat, you have effectively violated the summoners code. Even if they technically violated it themselves. So by proxy unless you remember to report that person. They can and very much will get away with it. All the while that person just successfully managed to get you angry enough to flame them. Which in turn "GIVES" them the right to report you and get you in trouble.

Toxicity in this game is like two sides of a coin. You cannot flip it and expect to land on it's side. You're either toxic or you're not toxic. It can never be both at the same time.

Back on topic I personally would like to see the Tribunal come back before soloqueue. It only makes proper sense that the system which was designed for enforcing good behavior. Be prioritized over what will eventually be a shitfest of toxic players.

Context is a thing, but it only matters if the context changes if what you did was punishable. Which it doesn't. You are responsible for what you say and do regardless of what others do.

Yelling at a troll serves no purpose. They aren't trolling because some random guy never yelled at him. That rage is exactly what he wants. You tossing him a treat for his efforts is not stopping anything, it's encouraging it.

You are welcome to whatever opinion about what you should be allowed to do, but that doesn't change what you are actually allowed to do.

fhdkljaspoutirw2 votes

But I will keep causing a fuss until it is changed. I am going to be the voice that needs to happen. I am flagging this shit. I am showing people what is wrong. I am right. I know I am.

SmokedAlmonds6 votes

Good luck with that. Most people support the way things are. Especially here in this section almost everyone falls into basically only 2 groups, people who support the system and people who have been punished.

Holoin3 votes

No you are not right. As civilized humans, we have no rigth to judge others. We have no rigth to say anything offensive to others, even if they are playing bad or flaming. Its what separate us from animals. If cant control your rage, you should not be playing these type of games. Go out, do sports.

Simple Moon4 votes

I can see why you were banned just from your comments on this thread.

Ba22crow3 votes

That's what bitch made people like you say, if I am yelling at a troll it should not be punished. It's not like the guy did nothing wrong, if I want to yell at someone trolling I should have that right, if they are ruining my game, I should have the right to take the frustration out on them. They make me mad, they should take the massive brunt of my anger.

You do have that right, and you used it. However the other people in the game have the right to report you if they find your attitude unwarranted or abrasive, and they used it. You both knew the rules going in so it should come as no surprise to you that you would be held accountable for your words regardless of other's actions. Hence you are banned, and they got what they wanted if they were indeed trolling. I did read the whole chat back when tribunal is up for context, however regardless of context if someone is being far to aggressive they still get a ban vote. That's not to say I do not really really want them to put it back up, because I feel we can be much more fair than an automated system. And its kind of fun.

To correct the situation, do not yell or curse at them, and report them. That's the best you can do.

Young Jerk2 votes

Haven't played in a year, but I logged in to say from reading the comments, OP you're definitely right for the most part.

People think just because majority has one opinion that it's right. A hundred idiots can think something, it doesn't make it "right." Honestly I don't talk to trolls and I think it's dumb to do it on a game, but the arguments used against you are so obviously based upon fear of the system and by people who are too scared to have opinions and thoughts of their own.

I like how the OP knows he's right no matter how many wussies say he's wrong, and I respect that. Sure, the wussies won't ever get punished, but OP is going to make it much farther in real life and is probably going to be a lot more likeable and happy too.

MoveMcName1 votes

Im about to respond to a comment, that was written 6 months ago... what am I doing with my life?! Anyways here goes: Your statement that just because the majority holds something to be true, does not (automatically) make it true, is something I can agree with. As for your conclusion that "fhdkljaspoutirw" is right no matter how many "wussies" tell him he is wrong is very much debatable. If you believe that the majority of people can come to the wrong conclusion, why are you assuming that a single person is in the right here, just because that person insists upon being correct?

Furthermore I am going to go ahead and out myself as someone who would use similiar arguments as those people who are are, according to you, obviously basing their arguments upon fear of the system and the inability to form their own opinions.

Im not afraid of getting punished by the System, and yet I would still consider "fhdkljaspoutirw's" approach to solving his problems wrong. I would simply try to make the point that of course he has the right to get pissed off at people who are trying to ruin his fun. And he should most definitely not just take it without doing anything about it. Lucky for him and everyone else who might find themselves in his situation there is a great tool to get back at those people who are trying to ruin games. Its called "the report system". I simply do not get why anyone would want to spend more than the bare minimum of their time on people who are pissing them off. And as has been stated before: Breaking the law to punish those who are breaking the law is simply not working within the law. So the point of self defense is pretty much mood because self defense only applies in situations where you simply cannot wait for the proper authorities to handle the problem. (For example if you are about to be stabbed, it is still theoretically the polices job to prevent this, but if they cannot reach you in time, you have most certainly the right to defend yourself.) On the other hand flaming someone for flaming you instead of just reporting him for his "crime" is akin to finding out where the person lives who broke into your house to break into his instead of calling the police to arrest the person.

The rule of "I am allowed to do whatever someone did to me first" very rarely applies in real life and most certainly does not apply here.

Another (somewhat) related point is: Flaming someone is simply not worth it. The person you are flaming is probably flaming/trolling you for a reason. (im not claiming that there are any good reasons to flame/troll im merely claiming that the person is doing it on purpose with a certain goal in mind) Most likely the reason is not just trying to ruin your fun but to get provoke you into some kind of reaction. Please do explain to me how giving them exactly what they want is satisfactory or beneficial to you? I would further try to make the point that the only way to actually win against them is to ignore their behavior during the game, if at all possible still try to have fun and report them after the game in order to get them banned (hence preventing them from ruining any more games for others in the future)

IF you are reacting to them in a way that makes them feel like they won, you are not making use of a made up right to retaliation, to solve the problem, you are only making the problem worse by allowing the trolls to succeed in their affords.
