Why people don't want to support? They get no support

Nobody respects the support. That's the problem. It's not like you don't have an impact on the game cause you really do its just that hardly anyone recognizes or even seems to understand how a support works (then again I'm in bronze level). Just today I had a Lee Sin call me a noon cause of my k/d....I was 1/8/12. Early game you have to fight your ad campaign to get relic shield procs, or they won't come with you to ward, or cone with you to destroy a ward. They won't help you out a bit and yet they'll flame you the second you make a mistake. That's why no one wants to play support, it's a role with a lot of responsibility, large champion pool, and complex mechanics, but nobody cares about you.

Speaking as a support main (currently silver), I feel support abuse is really exaggerated.

I rarely get crap from anyone. I get recognized for good plays plenty. And I definitely feel impactful in most of the games I play. Season 7 has its problems, sure, but one of the things I feel it's done well is make the support role feel more impactful.

I don't recall it being any different in bronze, frankly. I hate to sound harsh, but if you're receiving more criticism than players in other roles, or if you're receiving significantly less recognition, then you're probably not playing as well as you could be.

From what I've seen in gold (my roommate is gold), they still don't respect support players.

Im not even ranked but I fully agree since I went 0/1/10 and everyone was so happy with the carry and not me even though I saved them a ton of times and the team got an s when i got an a- for having the most kill participation tied

For someone who was a support main since Season 3 to mid season 5 I had fun. you know until they said there can only be 3 wards + Pink at one time placed by someone. They need to bring back the ability to buy Boots Gold Item and then 25 wards. Anyways the support thing is exaggerated to a point. Supports don't get all of the love, but ADC can be turned against just as fast as the ADC flames the Support. I truly think the only SUpports that get flamed the ones that only fallow the ADC and never roam. Once my ADC is 3-4 kills ahead I used to go and annoy other lanes or piss off the enemy jungler.

i play support so people can tell me how good i am and every single thing i do is praised.

if i feed and someone calls me out on it its not fair because im a support and im playing the hardest role with the hardest mechanics and i get verbally abused for it.

???????????

stop.

The problem is that most supports get autofilled and many of them aren't good at it. I'm an adc main and I see it all the time. They mostly just pick what's meta and they think that's it. They don't ward, miss relic procs, don't use spellthiefs correctly, or when there is an eve jungle don't buy control wards. Support is the role no one wants to play, for some of the reasons you list, but also because many of them just aren't good. No one wants to play it because it is almost always autofilled.

On a side note, I know how to play support, and when i get it, I try and sync with the adc and the rest of the team. Most of the time it goes ok, but I can pin so many losses on supports who can't be bothered to either grow up, or just clearly have no idea what they are doing.

I don't see much flame towards supports anymore, but half the time I get recognized, half the time I don't. also it's hard to carry a feeding top/mid/jg etc as braum ._.
