Is there any reason for this auto-unmute-postgame feature to exist

anybody you muted in game becomes automatically unmuted after game. If you want to keep them muted, you have to block them again manually I don't see any fucking good reason for this other than giving those toxic players one last chance to spit some venom out.

tfw you blocked someone and had nice 30 minutes of quality gameplay, and then run into a random kys in the end of the game. just why riot WHY

It is because the client and game are separated and so the mute doesn't carry over. I still agree, upvote from me.

you realize people can get banned for post game chat shenanigans too, right?

both champion select and end game chat are monitored

when you see that "kys" at the end game chat you have a choice, let that affect you and get angry or just move on and not let little things get to you.
