Why does it take dozens of games to finally ban people who run down lane and AFK at tower?

The system clearly does not work if a player can;

A) Not play in the lane they were assigned. B) Intentionally AFK in front of the enemy tower after each spawn.

Only to see they've done this over multiple games with 0 penalties so far.

There are 4 other team mates that all have to suffer (While losing LP) from someone intentionally trying to make you loose for laughs. I've seen multiple posts now of players getting away with this for ages.

Everywhere I look Leagues just a meme on gaming websites for salt and "cancer". That's normally a sign there's a problem especially when you're famous for how toxic your community is. I've been playing since 2011 and it's actually getting worse somehow...

I played a co op vs ai game yesterday before bed and there were 3 new level 1-3 accounts playing. All of them were smurfs that got permabanned for toxicity, and oh my god were they toxic. They were using hate speech and shit talking over getting mid lane in a co op vs ai game. I mean wtf. You can play riven adc and still go 15/0 in a bot game. They haven't changed, and in fact they've become bitter over being banned, and have decided to smurf to 30 and troll games on purpose to get back at riot.

because riot only bans for chat logs. my friend has been afk in over 100 games allready and all he got is low priority Q matches sometimes 2-3 sometimes 8-10 depending on how much games he was afk.

Riots automated system has trouble detecting those sorts of things. Not to mention it is extremely lenient to protect people who may be having "just a bad game".

ikr I think they need to IP ban those once they do catch them though with like replay evidence and stuff.
