@Riot -- Investigation of recent wave of permabans for 3rd party programs

I would appreciate it if someone at Riot could give an official response/update as to the huge recent wave of permabans flooding in for 3rd party program use.

It seems the vast majority of the people complaining on the forums here have been using a program called Overwolf, LoLWiz, or plays.tv (for recording games).

I myself have plays.tv installed, and although it doesnt seem to work well, I was considering using it to record some of my games in the future; there seems to be a community online as well.

Also I'm curious now to the LoLWiz/Overwolf programs, and I am considering using one of them as well. I'm posting this here in public as a document record showing the community and Riot, that as of this writing, I will be using one or more of these aforementioned programs in-game, which according to Riot, are NOT bannable programs, and are accepted for use by players. Should my account (this username Boosted Bonobo) be permabanned in the near future, you now have a record as to why it would occur.

They ban in waves so that it's difficult to determine which program triggered their sensors.

I was also recently banned for this. I have no explaination because I've never used any 3rd part software whatsoever. Upvote other people posting about this, and hopefully we can get some people believing us and get some exposure to riot.

yup, seems legit its done in waves, so even If you recently took it off..

if you were using it in the past you still are flagged for banning on the next wave..
