When the 2018 Season ends, you'll get rewards based on your ranked standing. We'll have more details on what Ranked and Honor rewards to expect closer to season's end, but for now we wanted to remind you how to stay eligible." ** This is something you should have implemented in at the start of the season. Not when the season is going to end soon. This is unfair to a lot of people due to the fact it takes so long to get your honor back. Yes, you're going to say "Well don't be toxic, it's your fault!". Well I wouldn't have been toxic from the start if I knew this was going to happen. This would have prevented toxicity from many, MANY players if you mentioned this at the start of the season instead of adding it last second.

I'm currently at checkpoint 2/3 to get my honor back (Currently level 0) and I have not been toxic for a while. Actually got several notifications of Riot telling me that my account status has improved. I'm still level 0 and have been for months.

You said "(We have made Honor progression a little easier to get up to Honor 2 to help you rank up!)". How much easier are you talking about? Like 1% better? If so, it will be almost impossible to get level 2 by the end of the season judging from how things are going.

I'm going to get downvoted to death probably, but just thought I'd share my thought and give you a little well-deserved criticism on your logic, Riot.

they make more money by banning half their playerbase and having them create new accounts then saying they have millions of new players each month

Eligibility for ranked rewards in the past have required ending the season on good behavior. What made you think this season was going to be any different? Fortunately, players can get their honor back this time instead of being completely locked out at 2 1/2 to 3 months before the season ends.

Totally aggreed with you, i got punished in april (3 months ago) and i am still at honor level 0, checkpoint 3 (no appreciation for toplaners) so it is beyond impossible to even make it to honor level 2, last season i finally got to honor level 3 litteraly a few days before the season ends but bye this flow it is impossible to get to honor 2 unless i litteraly NO-LIFE for 4 months on a game i have to force myself to get any enjoyment out of it at all. Previous summer i spent two whole months of summer vacation trying to get atleast in platinum V, but this failed so now i only did the effort to get into gold V in flex and solo/duo which was already harder than it seems with 2/7 teemo supports, 0/20 funneling strat duo, master yi junglers who prioritise killing a malphite since mid-game over helping teamfights and doing drake objectives.

Riot be like: 'You have been very positive the last week. good job. You now get +1 honor point.' Also riot: WHAT?! NEGATIVITY?!?! MINUS 5 MILLION POINTS FOR YOU BECAUSE YOU SAID THAT YOUR ADC IS BAD.'

This is pretty much what happened to me. now I am honor level 1 last checkpoint for like 3 months straight and i get honored a lot. I also honor other people every single game. I am curious if I would still get my ranked border tho. Anyone knows this?

I, too, had no idea you need honor for end reward and I just FINALLY got to plat after SO MUCH HARD WORK. They say they already "mentioned" it at the beginning of the season but guess what? I am here to play the game not read every little post you make RIOT, I do however read the stuff on THE CLIENT like THIS ONE that is making me coming here and comment.

If I don't have my reward at the end of the season I am quitting this shitty game for good, it gave me nothing but aids, cancer and depression.

Thought I'd put it out there, I got chat banned in February ( I think, I have actually asked support), and today I just got chat banned (which I'm not going to argue with). in that time I only got 2 out of 3 check points to get to level 2 honor,so I know I'm not going to get my end of season rewards, and I think about that and why should I care about not being toxic I feel like this season has been stupidly toxic, I feel there isn't much incentive to try be a 'behaved' player. in saying that, I've this game so much this year because I had eye surgery earlier this year. but I really do believe that with all these game changes my region at least has been stupidly toxic. but going from bronze to gold, I feel like negative behavior just gets worse the higher you climb.

The season typically ends on the first two weeks of November. That's consistent with the prior few seasons, although they have not officially announced this season's end ; so, you've still got time to get your honor up to 2.

ranked rewards are rewarding you for being a skilled player not a skilled fucking baby sitter, when i climb from silver to plat effortlessly and then to not get my rewards because im "toxic" is fucking retarded this isnt pussy ass fucking elementary school. this is honestly the last straw for league this games literally dying because of this being a fucking pacifist shit. Not everyone is a fucking little asian kid or someshit that got bullied in highschool and will just stay away and avoid all conflict thats thrown in their general direction.

My account was made in season 2, I have ALL of the legacy honor icons. I'm not a toxic player in any games unless i'm friends with the person i'm flaming. I was never banned until last season 2 weeks before the end of the season for "flaming" in a premade 5 on comms (I had no mic at the time so I was typing while the rest were talking on discord). One of them said at the end of the game in order to mess with me "report (whatever champ I was playing that game) for toxicity". I received 2 reports from the enemy team and got a 14-day ban. This prevented me from getting season rewards after climbing from silver 4 to plat 5. I play about 500 games this season (lots of norms) receiving no more reports, I continuously get honored almost every game and I'm sitting here today, just now (within minutes of writing this) getting honor 2 after a full season of play from someone that should not have (in my opinion) gotten banned in the first place. Is it just me or is there something terribly wrong with how slow you recover from a ban. Bans have their own punishments (not being able to play for 14 days in my case) and now they've implemented a system that takes almost a full season (if you only play around 500 per season) to recover from. I'm basing all of this on memory so please fact check me if I'm wrong about anything I've said here. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I fail to see how this is "unfair" when, if i recall correctly, having account infractions in prior seasons also led to no rewards.

I have just one question, will I get my gold border if I am honor level 0(not locked,I am at the last checkpoint before level 1 but, I am not sure if I will make it to level 1 so I am asking for honor level 0). Thank you in advance(btw. got banned for saying blacklisted word without knowing that it's blacklisted so yeah ;D)

I really understand not giving rewards but my banner I earned I was suspended half way in the season and even doing well in games and not flamming getting honor back was such a grind I got lvl 2 the day after season ended and now I don't get my banner that's not fair at all riot

riot has been disgusting and harsh with honor as well as ranked rewards. it takes literally months to get from honor 0 to 1, and more months to get to honor 2. last year was less painful as you only had to rank up from 0 to 1, and 1 to 2. now you have to rank up EIGHT TIMES. 0.0 --> 0.1 --> 0.2 --> 0.3 --> 1.0 --> 1.1 --> 1.2 --> 1.3 --> 2.0 each checkpoint takes ATLEAST a couple of weeks, even if you are extremely honorable. it also feels as if riot gives honor upgrades in batches, as everyone seems to get it at the same time. this makes your progress feel more pointless. its a horrible experience and no one will reform this way.
