Can riot actually admit what they're doing

Lets face it. Riot has fallen into the trap that many other multiplayer games have.

They are catering to kids.

The reason they are targeting chat offenses over trolls, is because a parent having their kid tell them. "Some guy intentionally threw my ranked game" is going to be met with a different respnse then " mom, what's a ni**er?"

Also. Riot has the philosophy of " letting tbe community decide whats acceptable behavior " which basically translates to "you can do whatever ypu want, as long as you're the majority. " and kids don't want someone telling them how to play, and dont care about rank so they're more than willing to throw a game just to prove a point "

27 here. Still don't want assholes in my game. And Riot does ban trolls, when they can catch them and can be reasonably sure that they are a troll.

Detecting if someone is being an asshole in chat is much easier.

You don't ignore one problem just because a different problem is harder to solve.

Just so you know, anything you would say to get chat restricted in game could also probably get you in trouble if you said it to your boss at work. Is the average workplace catering to children too? It's also a lot easier to catch chat offenses than it is trolling.

You know, majority rules in democracy too. Are you saying that's a bad thing? Would you rather have the government (Riot in this example) rule with an iron fist and determine for themselves what is acceptable and what isn't? People are quick to decry the community for being "sensitive" but very few have the forethought to think about what the alternative means.

People do get banned for trolling. And I don't know if you've watched the boards over the past few weeks but there have been 2 different trolls (int feeding/running it mid) who have been banned because people screen shotted lobby and posted it (blurring out name, but sending the none blurred one to Riot through ticket.) Every elo has its trolls. Looking at your match history some people might even say you're a troll. And in case you haven't noticed, the majority of the community has voted against trolls and spoken up about them. I personally don't care if someone wants to have fun in normals.

I haven't seen riot really do much of anything. Though they did take away the tribunal so if anything was being done before now less is being done.
