ive been seeing it a lot more as of late. i feel like people who do this should be in the same instaban territory as people who use the N word or fa**ot, because myself as well as im sure many other people playing league have aspergers or are on the spectrum in one form or another. i would like to hear from a rioter in regards to this issue

As a former teacher who actually worked with mentally-handicapped kids, I'm also particularly sensitive to when people use the 'R' word. And I think it's great that you know so well that it's not something to be thrown around. As others have pointed out though, and it's incredibly unfortunate, it remains true that there are people out there who do not understand and are not as compassionate towards others. I'm sorry that you came across this situation yourself and were so affected. Doling out permabans however isn't always the most effective way to try and help an individual.
However, on another note, it doesn't sit well with me that you compared the usage of that word to a woman being raped. I think you could be more thoughtful about tossing out an analogy like that so carelessly :T

I made a post about how your in game status can literally say "go die of cancer" yet it can't make a reference to the word 'dick' which is unfortunate as this is my real life name. Itankyou4 votesI'm a cancer survivor, cancer is major cause of death, it isn't triggering anyone. That's like saying the word death triggers someone in which case I guess I'm triggered every time I die in league and hit tab. I'm triggered cuz I just got downvoted for my opinion in the section below. The word triggered triggers me because people use the word trigger to mean something that only slightly irritates them but for people with actual PTSD being 'triggered' is a life altering and crippling event caused by stimulation to the brain related to the incident(s) which caused the PTSD in the first place.
TLDR; no cancer isn't offensive.

The only negative context for autism seems to be deriving social context from in person situations is harder for them. Too bad you aren't thinking about context here.
Many "normal" people would be considered mentally ill if placed in a radically different society. Interestingly, the worlds cultures are becoming more like each other and so this reality will become less obvious over time.

It is used negative way just like queer and gay is used. He is not imagining it. It is blatantly apparent to everybody not even autistic. And autistic people are not mentally ill. They are abnormal which is different thing. They are overwhelmed by subconsciously handled sensory information. Saying asperger or autistic is mentally ill is like saying person you have blinded with bright light is mentally ill.

Autism is used as insult even if it should not. Aspergers and autist people can be part of community and good team players as long they need not to deal with reflection of emotions of other and feel overwhelmed. And honestly, game like LOL without hostility would be really nice, as you have to interact only with 10 people and even then you need not to react to subliminal emotional perception you have to do in face to face communication.
It is sad it is used as insult, just like homosexuality is used as insult. Neither affects performance on LOL context.
