like let's say you accidentally reported the wrong person. or another example. you report someone. who you had muted. but then they said that they tried to apologize for thier chat while in game. and after the game they apologize after you already reported them.
OnlyYouCanHearMe3 votesWhile there isn't a way to remove a mistaken report, a single report isn't going to cause a person to be punished if they didn't deserve it. Almost all the violations that merit punishments require a certain threshold of reports (if not all of them) before they are reviewed for punishments, so as long as the person hasn't been reported by multiple other people, they should be fine. And if they have been reported by other people... well, they might have actually deserved it.

haha it's automatic there was literally a case posted yesterday how a guy got 2 weeks ban on a fake report a rioter answered to his ticket like "well,, you have typed too much"

a lot of people don't want to face it, but the ban policy in this game is very sloppy and way too strict, i don't know another game which bans people so easy with some half-assed bot to check reports and logs; even permabans are not manually verified

some people actually accept apologies and although false reports "supposedly" don't count. you still have a hidden report score. and since we don't know how it's calculated. an accidental report is a big deal to some people
Hryna1 votesThe cases you describe are rare and/or require you to suffer through someone hammering you (or someone else, I'm not into listening abuse of someone else either) trough the entire game for the off-chance they might apologize.
