  1. "It's just a game, calm down bro, chill" saying these things will not help the other person calm down, and in fact more then likely, they will just see it as you patronizing them, and will likely indicate to them that you "dont care" or that you arent playing serious

  2. telling someone to stfu if they ask you to do something often times. toxicity stems from situations like this, a person becomes toxic when they feel they've run out of options when trying to get their team to listen. and telling someone to shut up when all they did was ask you to tower farm is just going to start a chat war

  3. jabbing at them, or passive aggressively putting them on tilt JUST DONT DO IT

I agree with you in what you wrote and thanks for bringing it up !

However, I will always say something when other players get nasty. The 1st sign of the others on MY team being rude I call them out.

I do so in the most mild manner in the beginning and then I will simply say some thing like,,," No need to talk this way" or whatever statement sounds correct at the time and I find this polite way works very well.

Thanks again to bring this up ..I fully expect someone to contradict me and that is fine, but I am correct ;)

I mute everyone in the beginning of the game( i tell them ) and only use ping
