FIFA would fire them and they are renowned for their corruption. So why does Riot allow toxicity from LCS players and accepts it as a normal thing. Hold your players to a better standard please, they are getting paid for this.

As an American, at first glance I was thinking about American football, where athletes misbehave all the time. Dog fighting rings, assaults, weapon charges, drug charges, etc. Meteos getting drunk and throwing a few casual games isn't even close to that (Not that you mentioned him by name, but he's the most recent "scandal" that I'm aware of).

Jo0o1 votesThe vast majority of us are playing this as a game, not as a profession. The equivalent is closer to little league, or high school teams.
I played varsity tennis in high school, and I'll tell you this: There were occasional players that found ways to cheat. They were hard to catch. Most non-professional tennis games won't have an officiating judge, so we called our own games, and some people didn't follow the honor code and fudged calls. It was nearly impossible to do anything about, but the one thing we DIDN'T do was let it ruin the game for us.
Meanwhile, any kids that felt the need to scream racial slurs or curse their opponents out were pretty quickly penalized and removed.
It's not that different from league. Both types of misbehavior aren't tolerated, and one is much easier to catch and punish than the other.
