I've heard allot of complaints about false-bans for cheating

I'd really love for Riot to talk about this. I've never cheated, never attempted to cheat, but I am very paranoid that one day I will wake up and my account will be banned because I had Nvidia Control Panel open as a background process or something.

The vast, vast majority of complaints regarding false bans are from players who either don't acknowledge or refuse to admit that what they were doing was cheating.

Very few of the complaints are actually valid (and those which are will often be reversed) and are instead just a last-ditch effort to avoid punishment.

I've been playing for about four years now and I've never received so much as a warning or chat restriction during that entire time.

If you aren't using third party programs or intentionally cheating, you have nothing to worry about.

It's statistically a pretty low chance for a false ban. If it does happen, on the other hand, you're pretty much fucked if you aren't popular/manage to convince a lot of people. They don't have the equipment to check if the system was wrong. People who say you have nothing to fear (you have very little to fear, but not nothing) just don't really want to feel afraid by acknowledging there will be system error.

This has actually just happened to me. About a month and five or so tickets later they have told me everything I have used is acceptable, but still refuse to unban me because "I was found to be playing unfairly". I honestly don't think they ever even tried to help me.
