I mean, seriously, Riot?
Under what situation is 'open mid or im afk' and then running into the enemy team in a Diamond+ ranked game okay?
This behavior needs to be zero tolerance. The current system of letting these players get away with this even once is unacceptable.

No behavior is "Zero tolerance". Feeding and afk elevates a player's.... uhh.... "ban status"? or whatever aggregate value their account has building up towards perma-ban. It isn't an on/off thing that occurs from a single incident but rather a pattern of toxicity that will lead towards severe punishment.
Basically, everyone has a bad day and (draconian moderated word)s up badly. Be that through feeding intentionally or afking to screw people over... these things are very bad but no one has a completely clean record .... so no one should ever be banned for a single instance of (censored word).
If they do it multiple times, I'm down, perma-ban those (word)s. But not for a single instance....
clearly that player knows how to work riot and the matchmaking system better than you, which is why he's in diamond.
ive seen dyrus open mid. some games its just best to get out of and move on
Actually it should get zero tolerance in every elo. People that do it are just terrible people and they should not be allowed to ever ruin someone's day again.
This has nothing to do with being Diamond +, intent feeding or AFK should be punished in any ELO.
Why is it acceptable at any elo? Why doesn't riot actually do anything to people that blatantly troll at all? Why are you permabanned after telling one obviously trolling player that hes a jerk? No one can answer these questions, and no one from Riot actually cares.
afking I guess should be 2 week ban not perma, but intentional feeding should be a perma ban, riot wants their money sources flowing $$$$ Death threats don't even get you a perma ban.Riot should really evaluate.
