Venting Thread Beware

Call me old fashioned, but I still believe in honor, dignity, class, and the like, even when I'm playing something as meaningless as a video game. The only point of intentionally making another player feel bad is to feed your own ego, it's actually harmful to your chances of winning to be toxic. I'm a jungle main, so I'm used to being flamed. Flaming the jungler is basically a meme at this point. No matter what, I always do my best to win with class and lose with dignity, but unfortunately many other players don't share my views. I have lost my temper on a few occasions, but I do my best to rage to myself, not into chat. There's nothing manly or brave about insulting someone from the safety of your computer chair. The difference between in-person interactions and internet interactions is pretty interesting. If a person only ever had interactions over the internet and had no idea what actual in-person interactions were like, they'd probably think everyone yelled at each other constantly and a fist fight broke out every 5 minutes. Its funny to see how much "braver" people get when they're confident that there won't be any consequences to their actions. I suppose I'd better prepare myself for all the incoming "snowflake cuck" and "crybaby" comments. Funny thing is, those people only prove my point. I'll finish by saying that I've got no problem with giving someone a mouth-full if they actually deserve it, but if you're flaming and BMing people in league of fuckin legends, you're just a child desperately trying to make himself feel superior in any way you can. That or you have anger issues and should see a therapist.

I agree, But hey. Kids gotta show how cool and edgy they are in a match. They have to show how amazing they are by telling the rest of thier team how "completely f$%&ing useless" the rest of thier team is. They will sit there and not lift a finger to help thier team on a team game, watch thier teammate get 3v1'ed and then add the icing on the sh*t cake by going into /all chat and spamming "Report X for Inting/feeding" and reminding that player that just got passed around how "Trash" they are.

And when all is said in done, the player feels like complete shit, publically humiliated on both teams. And as for the one who spends the game degrading and telling the teammates how completely worthless they are? Well that player is completely dumbfounded "wtf, I got the most kills. How did we lose? Cant carry this trash team" This "pro kid" doesnt realise THEY are the reason the team lost. NOT the feeder, Not the other team. This player was too busy intentionally talking down and degrading teammates in order to give themselves that much needed pat on the back "how awesome am I? everyone thinks i am cool now" while they intentionally tilt thier teammates.

This whole game feeds into narcissists who want to feel coddled and told how amazing they are. Anyone who exposes flaws in the community is immediately downvoted and flamed into oblivion so this community can continue its "I'm the best player ever" circle-jerk

I don't flame..but I used to.

I didn't do it to be tough, show off, feel empowered, etc. I felt like the feeder (person I would be flaming) is garbage. He is so mechanically inept it's pathetic and being in this just about for sure loss of a game (thanks to you Mr. feeder) is a waste of my time.

You don't need to persuade me to something or attack me about my old self...I don't really flame anymore. I just try to direct people to objectives/rotations/etc.
