How permanent is a permanent ban?

I received a permanent ban for being verbally toxic to teammates. I'm not going to deny the fact that I broke the summoners code, however multiple times I have asked riot for an option for self muting which has been ignored. My account had all champions and a ton of skins. Money which I have spent gone into Riots pockets for me to be ignored and banned. How long is this actual ban. I realize it says permanent but obvoiusly Im going to make a new account. I think its pretty stupid to ban an account because the player can still play the game and be toxic on that account. I'm not saying I want to be toxic but playing in a team game can be extreamly frustrating at times. Please just make a self mute option.

I mean i would think the name Permanent should give you an understanding of how long it would be. If it wasnt going to be a permanent ban they wouldnt call it "Permanent" With that said im not sure why you would ask them for special services that no one else had just for you. The dont do Permamute, probably because you should be old enough to understand self control. Why need a permamute, when you can just not hit enter, or put the chat box to a minimal/small enough to read, mute everyone if their words are getting to you. Take some responsibility for your actions. Yes playing a team game can be frustrating. But everyone has to deal with it not just you. So if other people can handle it without the need of a Permamute, i think you should be able to as well. Its not that difficult!

How permanent is a permanent ban?

Seriously? How is this even a question?

Maybe on your new account you won't be so toxic.

I received a permanent ban for being verbally toxic to teammates. [...] How long is this actual ban.

A permanent ban for toxic behavior will last until Riot shuts the servers down and closes they're doors. You're not getting that account back.

######There are situations where the ban was in error, or where the reporters "revoke" their report, but that's not the case here.

I realize it says permanent but obvoiusly Im going to make a new account. I think its pretty stupid to ban an account because the player can still play the game and be toxic on that account.

It's next to impossible to ban a person unless they're constantly uploading to YouTube or streaming to Twitch. IP bans don't work and can easily catch hundreds of innocent players in their net. So Riot let's people make new accounts, hoping that the permaban shakes some sense into them and they change their ways.

My account had all champions and a ton of skins. Money which I have spent gone into Riots pockets for me to be ignored and banned.

The money went into Riot's pockets the day you bought the RP. They ignored you as much as they ignored the guy begging for Yasuo to be deleted. They had a system where people were effectively permanently chat restricted before, but it wasn't helping, which is part of why self mute hasn't been considered a priority.

I'm not saying I want to be toxic but playing in a team game can be extreamly frustrating at times. Please just make a self mute option.

Just hit ESC instead of ENTER. You're now self muted.

Everyone who plays this game has gotten frustrated. It happens. What doesn't happen is everyone getting banned for it. You can keep yourself in check, not crossing the line. You can say what you're thinking out loud if it helps you vent.

Another thing I do is to look at what I could have done better in the situation. You'd be surprised at how often the answer is "I shouldn't have thought I was safe overextending with the teamate that's 0/7/1". Yeah, it sucks that he's 0/8/1 now, but I could have made a smarter play.

Good luck with the new account, hopefully you can keep it.

per·ma·nent adjective

  1. lasting or intended to last or remain unchanged indefinitely.

Anyone is welcome to make a new account, but if you keep up the attitude that got you banned in the first place you can expect it to happen again on the new account.

Please just make a self mute option.

So by self-mute, you mean perma-chat ban? Not a chance, you'll turn to AFK or Intentional Feeding as another resort.

well .. it does say what year you are banned till. So its not that permanant, you just have be alive at year 2300 to play the game.

Normal account bans will give a time in which the account is reinstated, however if you got a permanent ban, it remains permanent and your account will not be recoverable. Ever.
