Violating probation

In some ways, being chat restricted or otherwise punished is a lot like being on probation. You've fucked up, and it's time to start reforming, because now you're on a list and you have a rap sheet. Future reports are a lot like Urgot's kit; they're locked onto you and will hit through all the chaff around it.

Earlier today, I was in a game with a Draven who announced in the lobby that he was being chat restricted. I was his support; Leona, specifically. For a good part of the game, I was keeping a weather eye out for the enemy, since I have a good sense about ganks, even if I can't see the enemy. ESPECIALLY if I can't see the enemy.

In this case, I knew Vi was coming bot, so I told him to back off. Multiple times. He didn't listen to a single one of the warnings, and instead charged face first into Ashe and Sona. Almost directly under their turret. Bad idea under ANY circumstances, much less one where the support is telling you to back the fuck off because the enemy jungler is coming in. Sure enough, all three ults converged on his face.

With what limited messages he could send, he starts screaming obscenities at me because I'm not peeling for him, and then he goes active AFK for the rest of the game... after doing the exact same thing about four more times, including one moment where Vi was literally standing right next to him and he didn't seem to notice.

I pointed out two things:

1: That based on his chat alone in this game, his punishment was well-deserved.

2: He had a skin (the Night Reaper one or whatever it's called). I don't know if it was bought or what, but I told him in the post-game chat that he should think about how much money he's spent on that account, because if he continued with his petulant shite behavior, that entire account was going to burn. I've seen that story unfold more often than I want to think about; I've even suggested in the past about possible warnings to players about how much money they spent on their account if they continue with foul behavior.

His behavior was not lost on the enemy team, either. The Ashe ended up PMing me after I told him this and apologized for the Draven.

I've gotten multiple notifications the past week about players I've reported getting handed a punishment. Know that if you do get a punishment, others are sure to follow, and each subsequent report will be much easier when it's shown you have a track record for this kind of shit, and then harsher punishments will be handed out until it culminates in a permaban.
