Reformation is impossible if it is really tied to reports.
If I got it correctly, reformation goes as like X games without getting reported and stuff (following the "showing that you have improved"-logic, which initially does make sense), but whoever created this system most have forgotten that people do report people for literally everything. Reasons vary, from: "I don't like his face" to "Mimimi he pointed out my mistakes and now I'm salty", to "Shut the fuck up you imbecile what do you noob know of the game?! Reported! Enjoy ban!" (said the 3/14 Lee Sin Main, what a surprise). And that doesn't even account for premades spamming reports on you (luckily not so much an issue now that SoloQ is back). Or don't forget the classic: enemies reporting you when you stomped them a bit too hard for their liking.
Reports are flying left and right, that's the one thing that has never really changed since Season 2 (when I started playing) I guess. I mean, there was this short, mysthical time when the honor initiative came in, and suddenly everyone was like SUPER nice. It was creepy. No really, after two games without someone telling me to kill myself was I quite confused as SOMETHING must have been missing from my usually LoL-experience.
How the hell will I ever be able to get my Hextech chest privileges back like that? I have played now over a 100 ranked games (literally, check my match history. The break was somewhere in September if you wanna scroll all the way down) since my ban, not gotten a single warning once, not a single game of intentional feeding or other stuff that would have been at least remotely memorable in a negative way, at least that my own actions concerns. The everyday salt I experience in games is the same as always I guess.
And when you literally play over a 100 games and you still get no chance whatsoever... let's just say that it's not exactly motivating.
Oh, and don't give me the talk about how hextech chests are an "reward for sportmanslike players". If our generic joe average player, who is considered to consist to 50% of pure salt (some scientists say even more), gets it, then it is no "reward" in any way, but the standard.
