My autofilled jungle is threatening to troll and go ahri jg if i dont give them my role

Wtf do i do?

If i dodge, i lose lp (or my promos) and get a dodge timer, while they get no punishment and get to go on to the next lobby and continue trolling, or get the role they wanted by trolling someone.

If i ignore them, i get a free loss and they dont get punished because they weren't flaming or running it down mid. Plus, i risk getting a punishment for myself if i get frustrated at the troll while they get nothing.

If i give up my role, now the troll has won and i am stuck in a role i dont want to play and the troll gets what they wanted.

It's a lose-lose for me. Nothing i do will get me out of the situation and nothing will get them punished.

Play and report them. I believe they will punish players for holding a game hostage. I'd have to find the post to confirm this but I definitely recall something like this being responded to by someone some authority.... but I think it was a red post but I'm not 100% sure.

Just play the game and report them, make sure to fill out the text box. It'll be a win when they get that consequence. The game will suck, but eventually, they all come crying to the player behavior boards wondering why they got a ban.

role steal is punishable. trolling is punishable.

off-meta plays are not punishable.

I'd call their bluff, if they troll, they'll get punished. If they try to win with their Ahri Jg, at least it's a game that had some fight in it. Maybe you can win it.

Someone else took action upon themselves and self sacrifaced. They would let them troll pick, when the game loaded, they would AFK so the remake can happen. BUT they will report the dude in the post game screen. He certainly was the bigger person in that scenario.

Holding teammates hostage like that is against the ToU and Riot will punish them just for threatening to do something they think other players won't like in order to force others to do what they want.

Call their bluff. Keep your role and play the game out to the best of your ability.

If they're bluffing then they will switch last minute like the coward they are. And then the game can proceed as usual.

If they commit and actually ruin the game with their choice... well they announced their intentions in chat, you can simply report them after the game and the IFS can pick up on it and punish them. It won't even require a manual review.

Better to play it out and try for a possible win than dodge and auto lose promos, right? No need to waste the opportunity to promote just by dodging.

Happened with me several times. What I did was take a screenshot of lobby screen where the person threatens to troll if I don't give up my role, I played the game and then submitted the ticket to Riot, and the next minute I see in my league client says that person who you recently reported got punished, Thank you for reporting or something like that.

I usually dodge if I see a possible troll. You could ignore and report them if you don't want trolls off the hook. Or you can also ask for a 3-man trade (If you play more than 1 role). Like the troll gets your role, you get the 3rd player's role, and the 3rd player gets jungle.

Probably best to dodge it, lose 3LP and wait 5 minutes rather than play with them. If youre in promos though you do what you want and just mute them in game.
