What's the punishment for someone who refuses to go his assigned role and force picks a different 1?

just had that guy in one of my ranked games. he was assigned jungle but instead force picked support without anyone in our team agreeing to that. we ended up having no jungler and 3 people bot, our adc and 2 supports. in the end, i did not know under what category to report him. i reported him for greifing. is this enough or such cases require a ticket at riot support ? What punishment do such trollers receive?

You cannot force pick a role. Picking a champion and spell combo is not punishable.

If they refuse to play their assigned lane in game, it's intentional feeding and griefing, and write a note about it in the box. That is trolling and punished with suspensions.

you report it as "intentional feeding" just add a note saying they stole a role. they receive a 14 day ban on first offence normally.

gotta ask are you sure he stole it though? or were they a duo and swapped without saying anything?

Bard as a half jungler/support is really strong with smite. But no one wants to admit roles don't have to be as locked as you want them. However walking into mid lane when you're suppose to be top is definitely toxic. I feel like there should be outliers but, Idk. I have always wondered why two players couldn't go top instead of bot, maybe it gives up dragon control but other than that its really not all that different. right? idk.

The answer to the question in the title: You getting banned because you sent in a report ticket for this troll.
