I swear to god they want their game to die. I just lost my promos because 2 people went afk in the first 5 minutes. I should not be forced to lose my promos and have to play multiple games to get back to them because two people decided to leave. We tried our best to 3v5 but there is not much we can do. Riot needs to fix this and they need to do it soon.

The alternatives have been shot down for one reason or another.
The loss/gains of LP can't be lopsided so one of two things must happen.
1: The winning team also can't be counted as a win. 2: All of the loss is dumped on the person that left/afk'ed.
#1 is a nightmare. Don't think the enemy team deserves the win? Leave and deny them a victory or any reward.
#2 is a nightmare to anyone who has to leave/DC for honest reasons. A single leave, internet disruption, or power failure suddenly counts as 5 losses.
Both scenarios also encourage people bullying teammates in an effort to get them to leave and mitigate the loss.
If its solo/duo ranked, then you should be expecting that coming
