When someone reports for "smurfing". What do you look into, to see if that person is intact, smurfing.
I only ask because I feel i've ran into a few recently (probably gold boosters for the end of year stuff). So it got me thinking as to how you'd know if they really are smurfs.
Boosting is a different issue from smurfing, since boosting involves giving someone else access to your account for the purpose of raising the rank level. Smurfs use their own accounts, usually from a lower level than their main.
Having multiple accounts is not, in and of itself, punishable. What is punishable is if the player acts like jerk. And unfortunately, some people develop the mentality that if it's not their main, their behavior doesn't matter.
If you want to know how they know you have multiple accounts. It's simple. They compare data.
