I will admit to having no particular love for mage supports, but it is a legitimate pick, so I can't really argue. It is frustrating to play against a mage support, so I can understand why they would be pissed, but it is so much not a bannable offense. And if they don't like him, then ban him. Thats what the ban phase is for. If they don't know how to play against another damage dealer in the bot lane, then stick to top lane, where it's a farming simulator. Also, fiddle is an absolutely awesome off meta support that if I had more time, I would absolutely learn.

hah, I've played the game 17 hours ago as Karma support (with premade vayne adc), I've built Eye of the watchers as my first item and at this point the enemy bot lane (alistar+jinx) started writing reeeaaally simillar things: "omg another ap instead of support", "omg not even using support runes" (I was using Aery+inspiration tho?) and so on... So I checked their history now aaaaand these are the same guys :D The support's nick starts with "Ym" and he picks Glacial Augment on every support he plays xD, the adc starts with "Ju" and is equally stupid/illogical as his duo partner.
They got stomped and kept crying just like in your game, fun times. :)

There's nothing you need to concern yourself with. His and Xayah's reports aren't valid at all. And you didn't even need screencaps to prove it. Riot keeps chat logs as well. There are always these dumb people who think that whatever comes out of their mouths is a godsend.
Hell, i've had one game where me, my brother and my friend were flex queueing and my brother's support (Trundle) was salty he was shit tier. Despite me ganking for his lane multiple times, Zac simply had more presence than me as Eve. So Trundle's KDA went 0/6 and he kept complaining, harassing and shit talking me for not babysitting his trolling ass and keeping him from dying. Of course, he had to AFK, threaten to report me and then quit the game.
Which i found funny because he thought my team (3 of us) are going to report each other or that the 5th player would even care about his dumb temper tantrum. Also, if he wanted to report me, why did he leave the game in the first place? Did he really think my team was going to report a player who played the game instead of a dumbass who quit before it was over?
Regardless, he got reported at least 4 times. I don't know about the enemy team. I didn't want to detract people from your problem to mine but i just wanted to let you know that these people exist and fortunately for us, they're a minority. A very small minority. Ignore them and laugh at them at every chance you get. Recalling how some salty turdlord went nuts in a game and rode your ass for his dumb-assery is even more sweeter when Riot slaps their buttcheeks with a punishment for being naughty.
But Bard is a damage support.
I would go again all over wih the "Why am i reporting you for going DMG instead of support which i consider trolling," but clearly, you are not listetning and you don't even want to see this from my view.
Personaly, if you bring DMG to bot instead of support, i am taking that like bringing a gun to a fist fight. It is not fair and overally, it's lame.
And if you feel special, don't. I am reporting all these "supports" like Veigar, Brand, Annie and others. Because if DMG is all you can do and call that "supporting," you are not support. You are just another DMG. We got 4 other roles for that.
