I tried posting this in gameplay, but riot told me that I was supposed to put it here.. so without further adieu Can we please have a loss prevented when we have one or more people disconnected or afk the entire game or for a certain amount of time? You can still credit the opposing team for a win so that they get their lp or whatever but as a support with a d/c'd adc as well as mid.. there isn't much that i can do when the jungler and mid laner decide to make it a 4v1 under turret scenario.

Had 2 games in a row like this about a week ago. Sucks when it happens but when it does just try to make the best of it and move on.

This has been suggested before but most people have come to the conclusion that such a system would make toxicity worse by having a team bully a player until they leave the game so they can get loss prevented.

Those players should get a permaban for being terrible people

Yeah, but the leaver would still get slapped with a leaverbuster mark, not to mention if they where toxic beforehand (Which they probably were if they are doing this) they would get slapped silly by tribunal as well.

While I agree that this could be exploitable, it can only be done so many times before the ban hammer swings, either from leaverbuster or tribunal.

For the millionth time, NO! Loss forgiven because of afk/dc gives too much room for manipulation, especially when there are people who duo queue. The only way this is even viable is if we as the community agree to harshly BOTH afk's and dc's. Something similar to:

  1. Winning team gets LP
  2. Losing team gets loss forgiven (not eligible for players in promotion series)
  3. every single AFK/DC player loses LP equal to the sum of all 5 losing players. If LP falls below 0 (by a certain amount), AFK/DC players get demoted. LP loss in not divided among multiple AFK/DC players.
  4. AFK/DC players must be disconnected for at least 10 minutes for loss forgiven to take effect.

Are you okay with this? Are you okay with demoting a player in a scenario where he disconnects due to reasons beyond his control (like a blackout or internet tower malfunction)?
