Is anything being done to improve the anti-competitive behavior problems at Diamond V?

Everyone who has experienced Diamond V knows exactly what I'm talking about. It's a complete shit show, where we may as well be flipping coins to decide which team gets someone trolling or subtly intentionally feeding.

The vast majority of people just stop caring about winning; they know they can't get to Master, and it's insanely hard to drop out of Diamond V, so there's no reason for them to give more than zero fucks about whether they win or lose. Which is not what ranked is about.

Is anything actually being done to improve this situation?

No, Diamond V is a special case. It's not comparable to any other. You have to experience it to understand it.

Wait.. What? Im in silver 4, Im sure its just the same here as it is in Diamond. No matter what elo you place in or climb to there will always be poor sports there to ruin the game.

it's a well known fact that the V divisions of all tiers have a higher congregation of not carers and trolls due to demotion protection. diamond isnt special

You're wrong, every single player above Diamond acknowledges how fucked up Diamond V is. It's not comparable to lower brackets, and I'm not sure why you think you have valid input on this topic, given that you've never been Diamond.

They can enforce trying your hardest and hand out ranked bans to people who obviously aren't trying. If someone says 'idc, i dont want to play' in chat, they should lose the ability to queue for ranked.

Get off your high horse, even diamonds know that other elo's are just as bad. Heck even challenger players know it.

That wont stop people from going on another account to ruin a game. If you dont want to deal with it either stop playing ranked or league in general for a while or just mute/report and move on to the next game. There isnt much you can do about them and whining isnt going to make them stop, it propably encourages them cause they got what they came for.
