Is there any point to reforming?

Played since S1, relatively chill until I got toxic about a year ago and got kicked to honor 0 (I still question the decision due to circumstance but that's besides the point) and kinda left the game for a while. Seasonal events drew me back in and I slowly earned my honor back throughout 400+ish games. I finally got to honor 1 checkpoint 2/3 and was pumped that I would finally get back to honor 2 and was kinda proud of myself for staying cool in my games. I'm ranked high bronze which means I'm with not the best players (myself included) and that usually leads to snowballs that for some reason drag out (from my experience).

This game was such a game. Long story short we were losing badly, blame was tossed around, everyone wanted to early surrender except one guy, more blame was tossed around, lose game the end. He was being pretty toxic towards me so I reported him post game. Finish another game and bam, instant feedback report pops up (I usually end up reporting around a third to half of my games and about 3/4 of those reports go through) and call it a night. Come next time I log in I get hit with a 10 day chat suspension, I look over the logs and couldn't really find anything that would be deemed "far below standards". Maybe I'm just used to the toxic environment that is bronze or maybe riot really doesn't care that their system is broken and/or upped their standards. I dunno.

The point is I felt cheated, all from 1 game.

Maybe it's misplaced anger or what not but those 400+ game getting myself to honor 1 2/3 are all gone. The way it works is if you get any infraction the system knocks you down a level along with any progress towards your next one. Other then losing the free rewards the system also matches you up with people of similar honor when you play games which just makes your game experience even worse.

At this point I don't see much reason to be honorable in the game anymore. The report system is automated, there's no tribunal like before so there's no context given or taken into consideration. The system actively works against helping you improve by matching you with trolls and griefers (yes I know it's like this for reasons but it sure as hell doesn't help player reform nor promotes it) and is completely unpredictable. You could get one guy using racial slurs and/or profanity one game and have nothing happen to them meanwhile something like this would result in punishment. You could spend hundreds of hours getting going up honor but it takes only one game/lapse of judgement to lose it all.

This system just makes it feel like it'd be better to just open new accounts every time you slip up since the hours put into getting an account up to level is much less then getting your honor back. Played on my alt and there's a big fucking difference in the people you get on your team dependent on your honor level. Those people are generally better at teamwork, pings and responding to events then those in lower honor levels. The game literally puts you at a disadvantage for hundreds of games due to a couple bad games.

Here's the log for those interested. Maybe you could tell me where I fucked up.

No it doesn't. I'm pretty sure Dota has a system like that in place, but league has no such thing. Riot has said multiple times they don't like the idea of prisoner island, as it doesn't promote reform and just gives players an awful game experience overall, both with lower queue times and excessively negative chat. The chat you see being generally negative is likely just due to being in bronze.

Nothing in your chat logs is particularly bad, it just has an overall negative and demoralizing tone. Calling GG early after no gank, calling your jungler toxic and bad, harassing your botlane by pointing out their bad scores, calling your teammates delusional, etc. Just going off how you typed the main portion of your post, you seem like a pretty level headed person that just got tilted from a bad game/toxic teammates. What I'd suggest if you have games like that is just mute everyone, finish out the game, then take a break from league for a bit.

Free skins via key fragments is a decent incentive for most players.

Its simple. It is worth following the rules (idk about "reforming", i think thats a bullshit idea that implies Riot is the moral authority and its up to you to align your morality with their's, and until you do, there is something wrong with you), if you value your account. If you dont care about your level, or the quality of matchmaking, then yeah who cares if you get banned or not. Just make a new account.

I'm not sure where you're coming from, but punishments are supposed to feel kind of bad. The incentive to reform really should be about enjoying the game. Forget the loot capsules. If you have fun with League, continue playing and keep your fingers off the keys. If not, stop playing.

You really weren't punished for 1 game alone. The reform card only shows you 1-5 recent games as examples of unacceptable behavior, doesn't mean you were punished for 1 game alone.

The system punishes people based on consistency x severity. Meaning you can be punished by 1 game of extreme toxicity or you can get punished for 100 games of mild toxicity.

If you were to be honest with yourself and try to remember those 400+ games you played, how many games had a similar attitude? Probably 20%-33%? All those other games contribute to your punishment.

As for whether it's worth it to reform, that depends on what you value. The content, the progress, the champions , the mastery points. If you care about anything in your account, then it's best for you to reform.

If I ever reformed, I'd probably finally know what my rank is

Haven't been able to hold on to an account long enough for my ranked wr to get down to 50%

Just using a tone Riot doesn't like or arguing (even in a non-hostile way) with a team mate will get you restrictions/bans. If you are at all prone to typing out messages that sound discouraged or frustrated and don't just instantly mute everyone then you are going to get punished. There really is no option except to ignore every negative thing every game always without exception or go into the .json config file and remove the chat box from the game (That's what I did and it works good). Anything you say that isn't a compliment can potentially result in a ban and you just don't have control over it. Even if you can maintain your cool for hundreds of games if you slip up once and say "GG" or "FF" you might get slapped with a ban.

Honestly i think this is pretty bad practice on Riot's part but it has a silver lining as there really is no good chat in LoL and anytime you start typing you're lowering your win potential. In the long run all you lose is the incredibly rare convo with pleasant team mate that happens like once every 200 games but in exchange you gain never dealing with toxicity and maintaining better focus in every game.
