One thing I can't stand about boards

When people downvote, they never give a good reason why.

3 reasons:

  1. they disagree on a post that has no point to begin with like: I fucking hate my teammates from last game

  2. To troll

  3. because they disagree, but they are lurkers and they never comment

I mean...usually for me, it's because a particular post or comment is and/or sounds ridiculous. Or one of those "wrong board, bro" moments. Then there are those who ask for the reason and if even given, tends to only lead to needless discussion. In the end, you can't really mold a user's opinion which is a common reason in itself.

They disagree. Plain and simple.

I generally don't downvote purely due to disagreement. Well-reasoned arguments are acceptable.

I'll downvote dumb threads and comments. People asking "why did I get banned" with logs full of hate speech, etc.

Well I think downvoting doesn't force me to comment, so that separation is enough to realize there's a flaw.
