And by "Farming" I mean she aa'd her way down lanes till someone came to kill her, just to respawn and do it again.

She wasn't even last hitting. But she made sure to keep a "positive" attitude in chat. "Don't worry guys, we can win this :)." "It's like you said, I just have to farm :)"

What exactly does the report system do, if anything, to players like this? Do we just have to accept that someone can pretend to suddenly be bronze 5 and get away with it as long as it looks like they might be trying? If so, it might be time to rethink whatever methods riot uses to punish players intentionally ruining the game.

They've got a system that works on detecting intentional feeding. It's obviously less accurate than LeaverBuster, but if she keeps it up she'll get caught. Remember that just 1 report will cause that player in that game to be reviewed.

Reviewed by an automated system. They'll see her being positive. "Just a person with positive attitude having a bad game, it's k". She can end up with sufficient kill participation from assists, and won't be punished. As long as she doesn't do anything outright ridiculous, she won't be punished.
