Why did you make an advertisement "Is it meta"?

...if it's a bannable offense as long as your teammates don't agree.

Also, as a support main - Am I allowed reporting a player for picking a non marksman for "stealing another players role"?

If I see a malph ADC and tell them no, do I have permission to get them banned and refuse to support them by going top?

Playing off-meta champions & stealing another person's role are two completely different category. The latter is punishable, while the former varies on the situation.

The general point of the video was along the lines of "anything is possible" which to an extent is true. Now if a player wants to express the response to something like Malphite Bot in a toxic manner such as refusing to trust and coexist along with whatever verbal jargon that gets spoken then by all means that player can take what punishment they get if they even get it. As BeastBoy said: it's still two different scenarios.

I've recently had a Diana-Taliyah duo and went, "these two are gonna kick our asses at lv6." They kinda sorta did. I wouldn't ban them even after the fact and even if I was teamed with an Urgot. I like the challenges. Different queue, same game.

When I first saw that video all I could think is that Riot must really like to stir shit within the community. Already plenty of people troll pick stuff to the point I quit caring, but it's funny to see Riot basically meme about it while selectively banning players for playing offmeta.

Encouraging it and banning it at the same time. Classic Rito.

I actually have to question this as well, as do a few of my friends.

Like gotopie said, they banned someone for "trolling" when he was doing something off-meta, but they made an entire video about how they basically want people to do off-meta stuff.

Did you know one of those things was Diana with 6 Wit's Ends? Some guy did it to see if Riot's off-meta would actually work. Are we now going to see him suddenly on the boards asking why he got punished for games he did awhile ago when trying to see if Riot's meta list worked?
