LeaverBuster Queue Timer Doesn't Let You Chat or Move Window

Today I was called into work early and I had to stop playing so I could get dressed and leave. After my game ended I got put into some LeaverBuster queue low priority queue mode. I find that it's pretty annoying that I can't chat, look at the store / pages within the client. or even move my game client window with the LeaverBuster timer open. I hope this gets changed in the future. Even if it is punishment, interrupting the features of the game forcing someone to wait in queue will only make them want to close the game and stop playing it altogether out of frustration instead of promoting good behavior within the game environment.

While I don't agree with rage quitting, some people have a life and responsibilities. I think instead of supporting the toxic community Riot should instead accept that sometimes people have to leave. It's a game and while some people do it as a form of income there is no reason to punish players who have other things to tend to in life.

Yeah this is actually pretty annoying. When I group with a friend who always seems to have Leaverbuster, which is probably his fault, I can't even type or edit my masteries or runes or browse the store? Why am I being punished? :/ The 20 minute waiting is enough, thank you.

even if they dont do something about this in the future at least make the maximum waiting time 10-5 minutes, im now in a 20 minute leaverbuster queue because my game crashed and i couldnt reconnect back in time.

I've always wondered if this is intended or not. Its well known so I have to think riot knows about it which makes me think it is intended. It just seems like a weird thing to do on purpose though. Maybe it was originally an accident but they decided it was working to intensify the punishment a little?

The majority of your post has nothing to do with my thread. I never said it was my first time being AFK nor did I complain about having to wait. Please do not bring other irrelevant topics into my thread. I have no complaints about waiting the extra time. It won't solve my AFK problems but if it makes players feel better that someone is being "punished" then so be it.

My thread pertains to the more major issue of not being able to move my client and chat as stated for the title. That is a big problem as no application should inhibit normal computer functions as "punishment". It would also not make sense to prevent players from chatting with their lobby, friends, or queue partner while waiting in queue. When someone has a lobby it forces the same timer on all players in the lobby. Are you are telling me that they should be punished by not being allowed to chat and move their client as well?

The system is implemented in a way that interferes with the end users ability to manage their own computer. I believe the queue timer isn't the only part of the client that does this. When your queue pops it has the same issue. It's not an acceptable feature of the application.

I haven't heard of this happening before. It could be a bug with the client. I would open a support ticket here. To me this sounds like a client bug, but I could be wrong.

No, LPQ doesn't allow you to do anything in the client except wait.

And, this wasn't the first leave you've had. Riot knows that RL stuff happens, so they have some leniency in the system. But, if you use it up, whether rage quiting, crashing, or too many RL issues that pull you away from the game, it uses up that leniency so when there's truly an emergency, you won't have that buffer any more.
