This has happened for years, but this attitude is starting to surge again. Over the slightest thing, be it a missed minion or the ADC forgetting what the fucking Relic Shield is again (it's been four goddamn years), the entire team will collectively throw up their hands and just give up, and STOP. They'll just fucking stop and wait for the moment they can surrender.

What the fuck are you even doing jumping into a game if you are going to waste your and everybody else's time? If that's going to be your attitude, don't enter a game, don't log in to the client, don't even turn on your computer. Just lie in your bed and don't bother anyone else with your bullshit ever again for as long as you live.

Idk if im lucky or what but i've never been in a game where everyone just gives up, unless they collectively agreed to open mid. The most i've had and played against were two people giving up after the slightest mistake.

Same. It's almost NEVER collectively. It's more like 1 or 2 people start bitching, give up, feed even more, then slowly others start realizing we have no chance now. That usually takes 20 minutes or so for them to finally have enough and just go along with surrendering.

I've only had 1 game where we collectively opened mid cause the one or two people who don't want to just bitch and say "oh no you don't get to give up, now you can suffer even longer" same with surrendering.

I wish Riot would just disable surrenders completely. They just don't help.

I've seen too many games surrendered when it wasn't over. Too many people that've given up early. Riot, seriously. Stop this mentality, and force people to either play or be punished.

I completely agree with you. I will admit I am not the best of players but I cant stand it when people decide to surrender. I realize yeah they might be doing bad at the moment but they have the chance to win a group fight and get back on track. By taking away surrenders it will help people by forcing them to try to change the way the game is going instead of just giving in.

Now, THAT would be toxic to the game. People will still play or get punished, assuming they're the only 1-3 people who want to ff. There are a lot of games that would be a stomp, but the enemies would drag it out and it would be painful. Also, your team can be in an extremely uphill battle. For example, let's say your team has a Pantheon and a Talon, and maybe some other champs that fall off late. The enemies have a Vayne, nasus, vaigar, a Sion, and some other tank. It's literally an uphill battle that can't be won and you don't want to drag out the pain. There are many reasons that surrendering is a fine aspect to the game.

You'd think so, but padding their stats and enjoying their advantage is reason enough. They will endlessly hunt champions without touching objectives (except maybe drags and baron) just because it's a whole lot of fun being fed and much stronger than your opponents.

Yeah I'm kinda tired of this attitude. Even in this meta games aren't decided by the first kill or mistake, at least in my elo. Its ironic that in low elo comebacks are easier than higher up, yet fewer people realize this let alone are willing to try.

well, it is possible to lose at champ select, unless your enemies don´t make use of their advantage and basically throw the game.

The current meta is pretty snowbally, but giving up early doesn't really help that fact. Too many people only like winning when they're winning for the entire game.

THe last game I was in the enemy had an 8/0 lead and three of the five players wanted to surrender. Then something clicked, and suddenly the tables were turned and we were winning fights and objectives.
