If you aren't going to use the mute option, why would use any other option?

You're missing the point here mate. The chat punishment is so you can (hopefully) learn to have people talk in chat without caring. Who cares what anyone is saying? It shouldn't bother you.

Either grow a thicker skin so you don't feel the need to respond to childish comments in chat or use the mute button.

how do i get into the config file and shrink it? i saw a video of how to do it. but apparently riot changed the file so you cant decrease chat scaling

i have aspergers disorder. and league is one my coping mechanisms. however because of my aspergers. i find ignoring people difficult. particularly if im being taunted or provoked. and people like me are getting shafted. simply because riot would rather cast us out and ban us rather than help us not flame. a self imposed chat restriction would permanently fix my problems. but riot wont do it because "trolls would abuse it" well if your system could weed out non typing trolls. this wouldnt be an issue. a solution i had. give players a self imposed chat restriction accessible from login client. that in order to be turned back off. you would have to submit a support ticket. and be put on a waiting list. SOMETHING should be done by riot to help people like me

Also you can reduce your chat when you get ingame, go into your settings (esc) and it should be under communication where you change or chat size. Or was it video...

Go to a custom game and play with the settings.
