What do you do if someone makes threats to you on the boards?

Yeah, what an enjoyable game. Every single game you play is nothing but some dickheads thinking they are better than you, so they blame you for when they lose their lane. You get death threats, people telling you to kys, and whining/raging Hillary voters daily in 9/10 games. The delusion in this community is real.

I imagine you are also part of a bigger problem, the people who threaten to report or ask for reports in all-chat whenever ANYTHING happens that you don't like. Whether it be someone asking you to build MR against that 10-0 LeBlanc, or someone asking you to farm kids like you will threaten reports over anything.

This community is continually voted the worst community in online gaming history, rightfully so, and this statistic is only surpassed by the delusional fanboy neckbeards who try to pass it off as a happy place to be.

I'm just glad my Trump voting self was blessed with balls the size of grapefruits to make these kids irrelevant, and a great set of hands so I know I could take any of these internet tough-guy-behind-the-computer college kids to pound town if they really wanted it, but they don't. Wake up.

You and I must be playing different games then, because I only sometimes see jerks in-game, and when I do, I respond politely to them or ignore them. I almost never get blamed for losing other people's lanes unless it's my fault, and when it is, I'll be the first one to blame myself. Death threats? Only seen them a few times. People telling me to kill myself? I've seen them more often, but I ignore players who make them. What does who someone voted for have anything to do with League of Legends, and how can you tell whether someone voted for Hillary? I do see people insulting each other pretty often, though I do my best to calm the situation down if it does happen.

I never ask for reports, so your assumption is wrong. I'll report a player at the end of the game if his or her behavior is reportable, and that's it. I know I don't need to ask for other reports because only my report matters. As for threatening for reports, I'll almost never do it because I can tell that it won't help the situation any. If I legitimately think that the situation can be solved by me saying that I'll report the player if he or she continues his or her behavior, then I'll do it. I think I've only done that once and it unfortunately didn't work, but that won't stop me from doing it again if I think I can solve the problem that way.

I'll gladly take suggestions from other players, and in-game I'll sometimes ask for feedback if things aren't going my way. Most of the time I won't get advice that really helps me, but the times that I get legitimately good advice make it worth it for me to ask the question. If someone calls me out and says "build Banshee's Veil mid," I'll just do it. If I'm making poor decisions that are making me lose the lane, perhaps it's better that I hand the reins over to someone else; I'm not really in a position to dispute him or her. If someone asks me to farm, then I'll stop grouping with the team and start farming, because clearly I can't help the team if I'm underfarmed. This is a mistake that I'll make in-games, and I often have to pull myself away from the team to farm on my own because I'm just not getting any gold. If someone tells me this before I do, then that helps me.

I don't care about who you voted for, but I'm glad you have thick skin.
