Crying toddler memes and "you're salty" are just as bad as the "harder" insults. Yet riot doesnt care. Im sick and tired of the selectiveness of the player behavior team. Both in game and on the boards

I disagree. Both players are saying the same thing. Why should one insult be ignored and the other not?

If you don't understand the difference between telling someone they are being childish and telling them they should kill themselves, I don't think there's much we can do for you.

If someone is dumb enough to kill themselves because someone told them to they deserve a Darwin award

Agreed, yet irrelevant.

And this argument means that inviting someone to kill themselves is on par with telling them they are salty? You can't possibly believe that. Seriously, why are you even here?

Whether or not somebody actually kills themselves after such a comment would only be relevant if the intended thought that was meant to be conveyed wasn't merely an insult, but literally the request for somebody to end their life. And if that was the case, that'd be so royally fucked up, that I hope even you would understand how that would be worse than calling somebody salty.

But since that is usually not the case: They're both insults, yes. But one of them is clearly intended to convey and incite stronger emotions. Saying that "You're salty" is just as bad as telling people to go kill themselves, is like saying "I think slapping people is just as bad as breaking somebody's kneecaps with a sledge hammer". Ultimately, they're both ways of hurting people. However one of the two is not only likely to do more damage, it's also intended to do more damage. So even if somebody has sensitive cheeks and kneecaps of steel, the person with the sledgehammer didn't know that, and thus is clearly in more urgent need of a punishment than the slapper.

riot will prioritize players that have more reports on there accounts then someone that rarely gets reports. riot understands that sometimes players get salty or upset about certain things so they won't ban you after 1 or 2 reports. the selectiveness that you talk about is for a good reason.

So far. All riot has succeeded in doing is moving toxicity from direct insults to passive aggressiveness and subtle trolling. Which in my opinion is worse because its harder to just ignore

i haven't had a troll in any of my games recently.. dunno what your talking about plus u can mute people for a reason bro.. if theres someone being passive aggressive mute em lol...
