this is the problem im seeing. people have little faith in the automated system. and are taking matters into thier own hands "flaming" which is a NATURAL RESPONSE

Whose says they aren't getting punished as well? You are accountable for your behavior just as much as the people who started it, or anyone else for that matter.

You don't understand how the report system works. You get reported, the system sees the flag, and documents trigger language in its files. Nothing happens to you the first few cases, unless you said something very severe. However, if you keep getting reported for the same behavior, the system keeps logging it until you accrue the number of offenses for the system to give you a punishment. Getting punished doesn't happen from just one game (unless it's some severe toxicity). It take place over a series of reported games. Therefore, if you got reported and punished from someone flaming you and you retorting, while they did not, that just means you've gotten more flagged reported offenses than them. If they keep being dicks, eventually they'll hit that limit too and be punished. In the meantime though, for you to have gotten punished means that your behavior is been consistently bad. Buckle down and hold your tongue, and avoid further reports if you don't want to permanently lose your account.

That's not true, check out a ban my freind got she hasn't been punished once since the Yasuo release patch. Went straight to two week ban, no racism, or foul language.

That's not true, check out a ban my freind got she hasn't been punished once since the Yasuo release patch. Went straight to two week ban, no racism, or foul language.

Her account was audited by humans and deemed to be harrassment. That is why she was banned. That was the result of a player opening a Riot Support ticket about her complaining of her behavior. That was not the result of the actual report system in game.

That's not what the support staff said, as they cited a specific match, and when she logs into her account it doesn't show 3 matches of toxicity like it does with other people. She has also never been punished before in three seasons. From what I have seen, nothing she has done is worthy of skipping to 2 week ban, especially since she no previous record, and that offence just isn't as bad as what I regularly see on the rift, nor what was done to her in the cited match.

Their response stated that she displayed that behavior in a small span of time, and they offered one game as an example. That response meant there were several games where she showed negativity and harrassment, and they audited those games and deemed it worthy of a ban. Human behavior auditors can escalate punishments if they feel the behavior is bad enough. They used one game as an example, but didn't show the others. Perhaps you should ask your friends how many people she accused of feeding, how many games in which she complained about other players in matches with her, and how many times she raged in chat. Just because she was never caught before doesn't mean that she's never been a dick in game. It just means that she's never gotten enough reports within a certain span of time to be punished. But clearly, someone got pissed in a game she played and someone went straight to Riot Support about it, and presented enough evidence to get them to audit her chat logs.

I started the game when she did, she endures harassment silently far better than I ever could hope to. She only recently started ranked, and has never been negative before playing ranked.

The other two ranked matches of her's I've seen I played support, and she played ADC, we got camped and the entire team was flaming us, I Asked them nicely to stop, and told her to mute all. She broke down and apologized to the team for feeding, and voted yes to surrender to get the harassment to stop. The second match I played wit her, the same thing happened, except she broke into tears and left the match after saying "I'm sorry for feeding and fucking up, I didn't mean to ruin the match.", the first time I've ever seen her do so.

So, if the kind of woman who breaks into tears from in game harassment, and apologizes for feeding/doing bad, then leaves from the extreme levels of harassment. I mean, you are honestly offending me atm.

Because even though, I stuck around to report those assholes, I guarantee they weren't punished for the harassment (not even exaggerated, when she was literally in tears), they did to her. And I see this all the time towards my female friends. It's disgusting.

So yeah, thanks for triggering me.

Yeah, well, you didn't exactly divulge all your information from the start, now did you? It's no fault of the people you talk to online if they base their responses on only the information you provide, and it's very unfair of you to suddenly drop bombshells and take offense from others who didn't know.

As a result, Player B insulted Player A.

Player C, Player D and Player E all have their game ruined by the argument between Player A and Player B, so they report both of them.

The "cause" of your behaviour doesn't matter. All that matters is that you are contributing to ruining the game for the other players within it.

Just mute the offender and report them after the game.

That is simply untrue.

You just don't know about other people's punishments the overwhelming majority of the time. The cases are also typically built from more than 1 game so even in the case where both are guilty 1 person can be at the end of their rope while the other isn't. The system for verbal offenses is largely automated, it is silly to think that the same automated system that punished someone for responding isn't punishing the one who started it.

It doesn't make the responses any more acceptable anyway.
