im tired of losing LP because my teammates are trying to turn the chatbox into a soap opera. and if i try to ask them to stop, they just escalate, and then i get punished for trying to intervene

scazzy, you know i've never gotten punished before and I've de-escalated multiple ragers before.
Honestly I agree. Pings are more than enough to communicate stuff related to the game. Chat is filled with toxicity in 90% of the games I've played. At the very least it's "Report xxx" from the losing team. I see no purpose for it and if people really want to talk they could use third party clients.
Asking for others to mute someone is not the same as asking for a report.....
