Such toxic behaviors towards new players

I have a friend whose level 22 but plays like she's level -30. I'm Gold 5 and will play normals with her and both teams will normally be bronze and will flame and flame and flame at her asking if she has downs, saying she should KYS or that she's trolling. Now she's hesitant to want to play. What a great time to start playing League of Legends am I right guys?

I've found the best experience when teaching newcomers how to play is achieved by making new accounts so you can level alongside them. Make sure /all chat is off for her and then start playing on your new account. Even better to find a couple friends to play with so you can all have a good time and goof off and try new things! :)

Just tell her to mute everyone except you. You should do the same as well. Until she gets better, that is the best route to take.

To be honest, those people exist in every community. There are some games that don't have as many toxic players, but usually online games that are very competitive/popular generally tend to harbor them more.

I've come across them in many different games, but since we're more prone to remember the bad compared to the good, we just feel like the place is overloaded with them. I mean, can anyone honestly remember every single neutral or positive player you've come across? I know I can't, but I can definitely remember a lot of the negative ones I've come across.

I know this is going to come off as rude, but having some thicker skin really does help when playing in an online atmosphere. Granted, people should just be polite in general, but this is life and everything can't be perfect. Just take the good with the bad and move on from it. No reason to waste your life and mental health over people you'll never see or play with again.

Just mute, report, and move on~ You and your friend will be much happier that way if you just ignore the haters and have fun :3

its a problem with this community, they are so hooked on LCS, wanting to be "pro" so bad that they expect EVERY SINGLE GAME to be like an LCS World championship finals. They DONT allow mistakes, they expect -everyone- to play at the Challenger level THEY see themselves at. Rather than actually advise people on alternative builds, they would rather just shine a spotlight on mistakes and laugh so they can feel some smug sense of superiority. They get to use the buzz words "noob, trash, garbo, troll, feeder, etc"

So even new players learning are subject to this unreasonable expectation of perfection, all because some internet toddler who saw one build vid on youtube thinks they are gonna be the next Faker or LCS champ.

They ignore their team, they dont care to work with thier team (why would they want to work with their competition). All they care about is "How great AM I?! look at me, look how awesome I am!"

This is a team game, and 98% of the league community DONT KNOW OR CARE WHAT THAT IS

It's not just towards new players. It's also not just towards players who are playing poorly. People flame everyone. I've been flamed by my entire team for "just power farming" when I was 10-0-5 (out of our team's 20 kills) and was responsible for every tower we had taken simply because I wasn't with them when they engaged in a 4v5 deep in the enemy jungle. They flamed me the rest of the game even though we continued winning and eventually won. Some people are just horrible people. As others have said the only option (if she wants to keep playing the game) is to mute them. Flaming is gonna happen and playing well may lessen it, but it won't make it go away.

Stop being the guy that forces his feeder e gf to play. We all hate that chick.

easy solution : just tell people that she is girl, the friend requests will swarm.
