3 AFKs Riot out of 4 Ranked Games

How in any way possible is this actually a fair system that they will still lose LP and not be banned because they haven't done it enough. I've literally lost 60 LP about from just AFKs. Is that even fair? Is this system fair?

I call bullshit,i personally play way more against afkers than with afkers. I am sure its like that for everyone.

Well, if you think about it this way, technically there is more of a chance for the enemy team to have an afk saying you don't afk.

But that is still just gambler's fallacy and all of you people are stuck in that stupid mentality of it.

Just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it didn't happen to somebody else.

Ye but, think about it, if they add system that u dont lose anything when u play with afker, they MUST add system that u dont gain anything against team with afker. Which means, if opponent wants to screw u, he can go afk, every time, and u would never climb. Cause if they dont add any system to prevent u from gaining LP against afkers, people in low divisions will climb maniacally fast, because there are alot of afkers there, so you win LP against afkers , u dont lose LP with afkers, and u can win like 10-20% 5v5 games, and u can climb to gold easily. Think about all kind of abuses. If Riot made thread asking people to give them ways that system could be abused, trust me, things people can think of would make your jaw drop.

How about add a system where everyone with the afk on their team loses 4 less LP, and the AFK loses an extra 16

It doesn't help that much, their needs to be a way where everyone loses less LP by just a bit, which is why I think 4 less for an afk/dc is a decent amount, because the AFK/DC loses an extra 16 and it's not worth to just afk for losing 4 less LP if you bully somebody into it, or w/e Riot's excuse was last time.

I was replying to his "concern" that people on a losing team would just AFK to screw over people on the winning team.

AFK'r loses the entire LP of the teams loss. People dropping whole ranks for afking would fix the problem quickly.

Not necessarily. What if the AFK player left because of a random computer malfunction, and it's the first time that this happened? It wouldn't be very fair for someone to drop an entire rank just because a very rare and random thing happened to them that was out of their control.

Like none, because I haven't seen an afk in forever, and it definitely hasn't been on the enemy team. Had no idea it gave the right for people to afk, because "it evens out." You're stuck in gambler's fallacy.

You have no basis for your argument.

I didn't say it gives them the right to AFK.

Just play the game and stop letting a couple afk's get to you, it happens to people very rarely.

Yes, it just sucks, because I was in my series, I had LP, now I don't. I'm now getting close to dropping back to Gold IV. If you want an idea here it is. Ban all players who DC or AFK from ranked for at least 3 days.

Yes, 3 out of 4 ranked games have had an afk. It ruins the game, I'm sorry, but that's literally the way it is.

You could have 10 games in a row with AFKers and people like Frig would still come up with excuses for why rito's system isn't broken/doesn't need fixing.

Just bad luck I guess...Of course, I agree that frequent AFK'ers or rage quitters should be punished. However, I, myself, have ran into unforeseeable problems requiring me to go afk. Even so, I have played with AFKs before. Just try your best, perhaps the enemy team might throw.

One tip, it's preseason, and climbing does not heavily matter. Just make sure you are having fun playing the game! I know AFKs really do diminish the fun, but do not let it stress you out. Also, sometimes people rage and then afk based on things people say to them in game, like "I'd rather this riven not joined the game rather than feed top." Not accusing you of doing this, but make sure you do not provoke people to leave the game also. People are also not obligated to waste their time being yelled at, and therefore they leave. Make sure the only reason you have an afk on your team is because of internet connections or life issues.

It matters to me though, because it effects next season's rank. I'm trying to get a higher rank than my teacher, and highest rank in my school, which is Plat V (not impressive I know), but it actually does mean a lot to me.
