I feel you man, this is just sad as people are so attached to what they call the meta that they cant even have fun with great and really viable idea. just another reason im done with this game...

I picked Nunu APC and my lane partner claims once we're in game 'if I knew our Nunu was our "ADC" I would have dodged' and then we stomp them so hard and I went 5/0/8 in a surrender at 20 minutes.

the problem with off meta things like this is they are mostly cheesy since people dont expect much and they make mistakes while if you play against the same people again you end up losing since you dont have the power of a normal laner and your element of surprise is gone
Did everyone forget that souls provide AP on thresh?
I get this a lot for my off meta damage support picks. In fact I was duoing with an adc and I picked Vlad support ofc guy in lobby is saying wtf Vlad support? Someone dodge etc. I said dude, it’s fine. Duo bot. If I carry you buy me a skin. If not I owe you. Ended up winning/carrying and he owes me 975 skin :)
